KC Concepcion is overflowing with excitement for her sister Frankie Pangilinan, who is currently based in New York City.
Last September, Frankie flew to the United States to pursue a degree in Anthropology and Literature.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on September 9, KC says Frankie has her full support.
"Now, my sister's in college na, turn naman niya ngayon.
"So sabi ko nga sa kanya, 'Kung ako nagawa ko 'to, kaya mo, mas kaya mo pa kasi kumpletong-kumpleto yung family mo, may ate ka pa, may younger sister ka pa, may younger brother ka pa, may daddy ka, may mommy ka,' like super complete.
"And we're all here to support you."
For the past few years, KC has also considered the U.S. as her second home.
"New York has become like a second home sa States. Of course, when I studied in France when I was younger, that's always gonna have my heart.
"Pero especially Pinoys, siyempre may mga families tayo sa America and masyadong close yung friendship natin with them. So it's also like a second home."
KC will be seeing more of her sister because she is also finishing her course in gemology.
"I'm also studying there to pursue my professional studies in jewelry and gemstones."
KC ON PHILIPPINES' GROWING BEAUTY MARKET
Meanwhile, KC is taking the beauty world by storm as she was named the first Filipina face of Japanese cosmetics brand Shiseido.
The 34-year-old actress-entrepreneur is excited that brands are considering the Philippines as a major beauty market.
KC also dreams of having her own make-up line with a global brand.
"Maybe, maybe one day, you know. But I trust their [Shiseido] formulations na, e, so let's just stick with that kasi tried and tested na siya.
"And then, as I learn...Kasi we're also talking sa office nila or sa factory nila, they're also making me learn about the make-up so hopefully, I can make my own line with them."
KC was present at the Shiseido Beauty Mansion held last September 26, at Okada Manila in Parañaque City. The event officially launched Shiseido Philippines Corporation, a joint venture in partnership with Luxasia Partners Pte. Ltd.
In attendance was Koji Nakata, managing director of Shiseido Philippines.
He said, “We are extremely delighted to move our business forward with the launch of Shiseido Philippines Corporation, and I look forward to engaging with our consumers as we bring them limitless beauty with our extensive line-up of high-quality cosmetics and skincare products.”
Aside from Shiseido and Shiseido Men skincare products, they will be including NARS, Laura Mercier, and Japanese personal care brand Senka in their roster. They also launched a line-up of fragrances from Dolce & Gabbana, Issey Miyake, and Narciso Rodriguez.
