The break brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic has given Gelli de Belen and Ariel Rivera more quality time with their sons Joaquin, 21, and Julio, 18, in Ontario, Canada.
Gelli and Ariel have just been visiting, but because of the travel restrictions they've decided to extend their stay with their boys in Canada.
Gelli exclaimed in her post, "Feeling so happy we are complete again."
FAMILY TIME: singing, Cooking, playing BASKETBALL
Here's the family of four enjoying a sunny day while having a picnic at a park.
Gelli also had a blast celebrating her 47th birthday last May 25, with her "treasures."
She wrote in her post, "...I asked my boys if they could play and sing one of my favorite Beatles songs.
"And thankfully, they obliged. I am so grateful for moments like this. They are not pros but they learned the song in two days or less pa. I love you my Babies!!!"
Of course, the netizens noticed that Joaquin has his dad's voice, "kaboses," and Julio plays a mean accompaniment with his guitar.
This was also priceless for Gelli—to be the first to try Julio's first try at cooking SPAM-si-log.
Ariel, for his part, was happy to play basketball with his sons again.
In a previous interview with PEP.ph, the balladeer-actor said he has looked forward to spending this stage of his life with his sons.
"We can really experience stuff together... We really are barkadas.
"We have the same interests and we do the same stuff. I love it."
Joaqui and Julio are students of the Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in the Greater Toronto Area, where the older one is taking up aviation technology and the younger son is majoring in kinesiology.
They spend their summer vacations in Manila, as Gelli and Ariel told PEP.ph in a previous interview.
On the other hand, the couple visit their sons three times a year.
That has been the family setup since Joaqui and Julio left in 2016 for their studies.
