Matteo Guidicelli admits the community quarantine has affected his Italian restaurant business, Da Gianni.
Though it has been taking delivery and pick-up orders, the Kapamilya actor said, "It’s not as good as before..."
He elaborated, "Restaurant business is really a big challenge. We all shifted to delivery, but now the extra challenge is the logistics, how to sell your food to the client. The game is totally different."
Matteo joined the Onwards and Upwards towards the New Normal, a Facebook live chat which also featured Dingdong Dantes, Nico Bolcizo, Rico Blanco, and Drew Arellano, on June 10, 2020.
Hopefully, as Metro Manila shifts to General Community Quarantine (GCQ), the diners will be less afraid to dine in or pick up orders.
Matteo said, “I think next week, the government will allow us thirty percent occupancy of the restaurant, so we were at the restaurant a while ago, setting up, putting stickers, social distancing here and there."
The Kapamilya actor also assured the restaurant's customers that the staff and the entire place are clean and COVID-19-free.
"Malinis na malinis" was his guarantee.
His restaurant is located at LG WestGate Hub, Filinvest Alabang, Alabang, Muntinlupa.
Quarantine may have a negative effect on his business, but not on his married life. How's his wife Sarah Geronimo?
"Everything’s good,“ he quickly replied.
"We’re four months married. Marriage has been the best part of my life. Everything’s great."
Though their wedding was intended to be a secret, it made headlines due to the scuffle between Matteo and Sarah's bodyguard and the arrival of the singer's mom Divine Geronimo, who, according to reports, was uninvited.
