Lucy Torres has written an early year-end reflection on her Instagram.

Looking back on the "little projects" she took on during the lockdown, Lucy reassesed her time working from home while attending to her family, grateful for all that.

The TV personality turned congresswoman said she began by rearranging the space and energy surrounding her.

Published as is, she wrote on Instagram: "It started with little goals —- just spaces and things I worked at and on to soothe my internal environment and experience, especially at a time when there was always something to be worried about in an external world that was busy and cluttered to begin with, and one suddenly gripped by a pandemic at that.

"I needed a diversion, a way to control where my thoughts and energies went. I am not an athlete, or a kitchen and garden goddess, but I have always liked working with my hands.

"Everyday I happily wrapped a gift. I rediscovered snail mail. I journaled. Read books and listened to music.

"Rewatched episodes of Friends (I could not handle sad movies).

"I played with oil and watercolor, drew flowers and complicated roses with youtube as my instructor.

"Downloaded a yoga app I followed daily. Painted walls. Discovered qigong.

"Renovated a kitchen. Redecorated all the rooms. Built new rooms.

"I also worked with local blacksmiths and carpenters and had furniture made.

"Organized spaces to make them neat and efficient.

"Sewed pillowcases by hand. Embroidered little squares of cloth. Made a ginger balm.

"Had pretty homes built for the chickens and geese, the turtles, and for Hamlet, our lovable little pig."

Lucy has learned the wisdom of honoring "the seasons of life" in "slow living."

She has embraced this holistic process of keeping both the external and internal spaces neat and organized, discovering in the process her "own measure of joy" simply by letting things happen one step at a time.

She said, "Flowing with what the day had to offer, going moment by moment. A commitment to find the gentle at a time generally wrought with fear and uncertainty.

"Guarding my inner space. Thriving. Being broken some days, and then finding wholeness again —- not always in big ways but in what can be had in the mundane, within the cycle of every sure sunrise.

"And so tell me, where did your 2020 go, and what personal projects have brought you your own measure of joy?"

Lucy, husband Richard Gomez, and daughter Juliana are currently based in her hometown in Ormoc, Leyte.
