Wowowin host Willie Revillame is without doubt one of the most successful celebrity entrepreneurs in the country.
While establishing himself as one of the most-loved hosts in the country, Willie has also been venturing into several businesses, including property development.
Apart from owning a production company called WBR Entertainment, Willie also owns several resorts around the country such as the Wil's Suites in Tagaytay City and the Amanpulo-like resort Puerto Galera.
Willie advice to entrepreneurs
Asked what advice he would give to entertreneurs, Willie said it's all about truthful and sincere service.
He told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Una sa lahat, huwag kayong manloloko.
"Yun ang pinaka-importante. Hindi niyo niloloko yung mga tao sa panahon na ito.
"And then yung service, number one is service. Once na tumawag, ano man iyan, ano mang online business iyan, dapat talagang may credibility kayo."
He cited his now-viral tagline "Salamat, Shopee!" as an example. It became popular in May 2019 after one of the winners of Wowowin cursed Willie on live TV, not knowing it was the TV host on the phone and thinking she was being pranked.
Willie recalled, "Yung nangyari dun...remember nung may tinawagan akong nanay, 'O 'nay, sabihin niyo, Salamat, Shopee!'
"Yung minura ako, di ba? 'Gag*, ano ba yung pinagsasabi niyo?' So, nakita mo yung... kasi minsan, hindi sila naniniwala, e, na akala nila scam lang ito, e.
"So I think the best thing here, is yung totoo kayo sa serbisyo.
"At saka yung being sincere sa pagbigay mo ng tulong at kasiyahan sa tao. Hindi yung ngayon lang. Meron ka, wala ka, sa abot kaya puwede mong gawin."
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) chatted with Willie at the press launch of his latest endorsement with the shopping app.
Willie emphasized his faith in God has also helped him achieve success and longevity in the business.
He said, "Yung ano, laging dinadasal ko sa Diyos na, 'Huwag niyo po akong pababayaan. Mawala na lahat, huwag Ka lang mawala sa buhay ko.'
"I think yun, yung guidance. Bago ako matulog, 'Bukas, another day, sana may mapasaya, may matulungan.'
"Hindi sikreto siguro, at least yung aking panalangin. Yun lang talaga, e.
"Kasi, for me, lahat naman ng ito, itong studio na ito, hindi naman sa akin ito. Pag dumating yung time na wala ka na, wala na. Di ko na alam yung mangyayari.
"Kung anong meron ako ngayon, hindi ko na rin alam in the future kung kanino mapupunta iyan. So I think ito yung sikreto."
