Andrea Meza of Mexico was crowned Miss Universe 2020 on Sunday night, May 16, 2021 (May 17 in the Philippines).
Andrea did not just win the Miss Universe title, she also gets to take home a huge prize package.
She gets to wear the Power of Unity Crown studded with 1,770 diamonds weighing 167 carats and meticulously set by hand in 18-karat gold.
It also features three golden canary diamonds, which were cut on a single rough stone sourced in Botswana.
The crown valued at $5 million or around PHP253 million was made by Mouawad, a jewelry company founded in 1891 by the Lebanese master watchmaker and jeweler David Mouawad.
As had been enjoyed by previous Miss Universe winners, a luxurious life awaits Andrea.
For starters, Andrea will get a year-long salary as a Miss Universe titleholder.
The Miss Universe Organization does not disclose monetary details of the prizes, but according to a report on Bustle.com, it's highly likely to be a six-digit figure.
During her reign as Miss Universe, Andrea will also be staying at a posh New York City apartment, living expenses included, which she will share with Miss USA and Miss Teen USA titleholders.
Also part of her prizes is a seven-day cruise travel courtesy of Carnival Cruise Line's brand new ship called Mardi Gras.
American businesswoman Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, was a members of the Miss Universe 2020 selection committee.

The 26-year-old Mexican beauty queen will also receive a year’s supply of products, wardrobe, and services from the sponsors, among which are Sherri Hill, Ema Savahl Couture, Invisi Smart, Jojo Bragais, and O Skincare & Med Spa.
Included in her prize package as well are dental services, personal care services, health consultations, and gym membership.
Andrea will be represented by the Miss Universe Organization during her reign. She will also have her own fashion stylist courtesy of the Miss Universe Organization, and a modeling portfolio by leading fashion photographers including Fadil Berisha.
There are also talks in the pageant community that the Miss Universe winners get to take home a hefty amount of bonus, depending on how many endorsement deals she gets during her reign.
Meanwhile, Andrea is also expected to travel a lot, courtesy of sponsors and charitable partners. The perks of being a Miss Universe titleholder include exclusive/VIP access to events such as fashion shows, opening galas, and awards nights.
The grand coronation of Miss Universe 2020 was held at the Seminole Hard Rock & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
