After Hidilyn Diaz's seven-day quarantine period, among the first to greet her was this: a Kia Stonic.
The brand-new car was a token of recognition from Ayala Foundation and its partners AC Motors and Kia Philippines.
With much excitement, Hidilyn took her car for a drive on Friday, August 6.

The car was promised to the 30-year-old weightlifter on July 29, which was also the day she was dubbed "Atletang Magiting" for winning the Philippines' first-ever gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics last July 26, 2021.
Ayala Foundation's press release included a brief statement from Hidilyn: "Thank you sa pag-recognize sa pagkapanalo ko. Thank you so much na na-appreciate ninyo yung nagawa ko para sa bansa."
According to Top Gear Philippines, the price range for a Kia Stonic ranges from PHP735,000 to PHP925,000.
Foton also promised to give Hidilyn a van, and Phoenix Petroleum will take care of her free gas for life.
Early this week, Hidilyn already got the PHP10,000,000 cash incentive from the MVP Sports Foundation, as well as the PHP3,000,000 pledge from Deputy Speaker Mikee Romero.
Hidilyn is expected to receive a total of PHP55.5M both from the local and private sectors.
