On Thursday night, September 30, 2021, Cebu City's Beatrice Luigi Gomez won the Miss Universe Philippines crown that previous winner Rabiya Mateo relinquished.
Aside from the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 title, the 26-year-old Cebuana beauty queen also took home a huge prize package.
Above all, she gets to wear the "Filipina crown" designed by the Villarica family, owners of one of the biggest pawnshop chains in the country.
With an estimated value of PHP5 million, the crown is considered the most expensive Miss Universe Philippines crown ever made.

The grand coronation of Miss Universe Philippines 2021 was held at the Henann Resort Convention Center in Panglao, Bohol.
