Manilyn Reynes and her family love fishing.
Just last week, the actress posted photos from their trip to a pay fish pond in Apalit, Pampanga on November 1, 2021.
Her caption couldn't hide her excitement: "Matagal-tagal na rin po kaming walang huli e. Finally! Nakahuli kami ng maraming malalaking carp at tilapia...Sobrang saya ng buong family sa experience! Siguradong babalik kami."

The week before the long break, she had another fishing spree.
Her caption read: "Pagka-gisin, fishing!!!"

"Sana may huli na..."

Their "family bonding" doubled with the celebration for her "39th anniversary in show business," where she met her husband of 25 years, former teen actor Aljon Jimenez.
After getting married in 1996, Aljon became less visible in showbiz, and focused on his business ventures.

This was taken from the same fishing trip.
Manilyn wrote, "Kung makayakap naman e!...#kiligako"

Back to fishing, Manilyn has been into it since 2001, the year she was diagnosed with anxiety disorder, which came on the heels of her second childbirth to son Kirk, who is now 18 years old.
Her weight issues caused her to feel depressed.
An article published by The Philippine Star in November 2005 mentioned: "She was overweight and fat. Her waistline was 33 and she felt depressed and unattractive."
Manilyn then said, "I thought it was a tummy ache I was having. It was anxiety disorder which my doctor said would progress to panic disorder in the next phase, and then to a nervous breakdown."

Fishing became her weekly antidote and Aljon's favorite sport. The couple actually used to join fishing competitions.
In the same interview, Manilyn said, "I love nature and the peace and relaxation it provides. It does involve a lot of patience, waiting for the fish to bite, but even that I enjoyed. There is nothing compared to finally catching your fish."
The 49-year-old actress now has three kids: Kyle, Kirk, and Kael. Her eldest, by the way, is already 25 years old.

And to her Instagram followers, she has this reminder: "Marami mang dapat isipin, huwag kalilimutang pansamantalang tumigil, huminga at tumawa. #pausebreathelaugh"

Remember to always have fun!
