Kim Rodriguez proves that big bikes are not just for the big boys.
Photos of the 27-year-old Kapuso talent riding her big bikes have recently been making rounds on social media.
On January 4, 2022, Kim takes to Instagram to upload a photo of herself with a blue motorbike. Based on the photo, it looks like a Yamaha YZF-R3.
In December 2021, Kim also uploaded photos of herself riding a Kawasaki Ninja 400, a monster bike priced at PHP315,000, according to TopGear Philippines.
Based on her Instagram posts, Kim picked up the hobby sometime in October 2021, after buying herself a scooter at Pro Group E-Bike & Scooter PH in Malate, Manila.
A month later, in November 2021, Kim attended a three-day riding class at WRD (Watanabe Riding Development) Riding School in Clark International Speedway, Pampanga.
Four-time Philippine Superbike Champion Dashi Watanabe served as Kim's mentor as she learn how to race on the track.
In his YouTube vlog dated December 2, 2021, Dashi commended Kim for being a fast learner.
He said, "Ang dami niya nang na-improve at saka nagulat din ako dun sa kung gaano kabilis siya naka-adapt dun sa training.
"Nakakatuwa kasi first time niyang mag-motor 'tapos yun nga, first time niya sa race track. Yung gamit niyang bike, 400 CC, yung Ninja 400. Mas nako-control niya na yung sa cornering, so ngayon sa body positioning na kami, medyo advanced."
In an Instagram post on December 2, 2021, Kim expressed how proud she is of her achievement.
She wrote (published as is), "3rd day ng training I can’t believe nagawa ko na mag knee drag, sobrang nakakatuwa unti unti na ako natututo.
"Hindi madali pero dahil nakapagaling ng coach ko mabilis ako natututo. Thank you sa napaka galing at humble na coach ko, @dashiwatanabe.
"Sana mas marami ka pa ma inspire na kagaya ko."
