Kim Chiu can be the Chinese New Year celebrity ambassador of Pinoys.
Not only is she is a believer of “pampasuwerte and everything,” her Chinese New Year vlog in 2021 became so patok (remember her red panty for love life?) that her fans have asked her to do it again this 2022.

For her Year 2022 vlog, she consulted feng shui expert Johnson Michael Chua about the practices to avoid bad luck.
“Wala namang malas,” Chua told Kim.
The purpose of the brief chat was to help people enhance their “potentials.”
Year of Water Tiger, according to Chua, is a “year of opportunities… year of development,” but it is also “challenging.”
He added, “Medyo hawig siya sa 2020.”
Kim and Chua discussed two Chinese New Year staples: prosperity basket and wishing paper.
Chua’s store is selling a set of prosperity basket for PHP1,499.
It should have bigas, which, according to the Kapamilya star, is “kinakain namin” after nine days.
There are also three golden kiat-kiat for good money flow, which is needed this year because “hindi maiiwasan ang gastos.”
Afterwards, these kiat-kiat can be used “sa cask box o belt bags,” said Chua.
Kim added, “Lagayan ng pera.”
There is also a bell, which is the best element to get rid of negativity and “strengthen creativity, protection;” a flower-shaped coin, which is for “love, luck, good marriage” because “tiger is fierce, maraming away;” and nine leaves to “expand” prosperity and wealth.
The red envelope or hong bao is also for good fortune.
Kim revealed that her family puts “PHP888,” then after nine days, Kim deposits them money in her bank account.
Kim's "proven and tested" practice is writing her wish on a wishing paper.
“Lahat ng pumupunta sa bahay namin, nagsusulat kami dito, imposibleng wala sa sinulat nila na hindi nagkatotoo.”
Chua threw in, “Kahit daw house and lot.”
Kim giggled as she revealed that one of her wishes recently came true. “Ako, meron akong sinulat, nagkatotoo talaga, nakabili ako ng vacation house.
“Ang dami talagang nagkakatotoo pag sinusulat mo yung mga wish mo dito.”
LUCKY ANIMAL SIGNS AND COLORS
Year 2022 is a “bad year” for those who were born under Year of the Monkey: 2016, 2004, 1992, 1980, 1968.
Chua remarked, “Kalaban ng tiger.”
For those born under Year of the Tiger: 2022, 2010, 1998, 1986, 1974, 1962, expect “struggles, competition.”
Kim was ecstatic upon hearing her animal sign, Horse, will be lucky again this 2022.
Here are Chua’s top three lucky signs:
Top 1: Year of the Pig (2019, 2007, 1995, 1983, 1971)
Top 2: Year of the Horse (2014, 2002, 1990, 1978, 1966)
Top 3: Year of the Rooster (2017, 2005, 1993, 1981, 1969).
Lucky colors are “yellow, red, and white,” including gold and silver or “anything that represents metal element.”
