In the last few years, Heart Evangelista has solidified her position as the quintessential representation of luxury brands.
But contrary to her well-established image, Heart holds a unique perspective on luxury, stressing that it goes beyond mere expensive or extravagant price tags.
"It's not necessarily about being expensive," Heart stated during the launch of Versace Home on Friday, July 28, 2023, at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

For Heart, luxury goes beyond the mere financial value of an item or thing. Instead, it centers on the profound emotions and sensations it evokes.
She further explained, "You know, luxury is about a feel, in a sense, like, you do something to yourself by making you feel good.
"I mean, life isn't perfect. And if you can, you know, put little intricate designs to make other people happy by your dishes, you know, hosting parties, hosting dinners, it really makes life better."
As an artist herself, Heart was also questioned about her perspective on what defines something as luxurious in terms of design. She confidently asserted that, for her, it all boils down to quality.
Heart stated, "You know, sometimes it's, again, it goes back to, it's not about the price tag. It's really how it's made with quality.
"And I feel like at a certain time in our life, we all deserve quality. We've worked so hard.
"And this is what it reminds us, our worth. So, if you want to eat on this beautiful plate, go ahead and do that. So, for me, that's what it is.
"Luxury, creativity is about feeling good about your surroundings. And we deserve that."
VERSACE HOME
At the launch, Heart took the time to explore the various pieces on display.
Among them, she expressed a particular interest in the Versace Home Stiletto Bed, available for PHP760,000.
Camille Ongpauco, Heart's sister, remarked that she would have purchased the same bed, along with the Versace Home Ottoman Narcissus Ottoman, if her budget were unlimited.
However, this luxurious floor cushion comes with a staggering price tag of PHP670,000.
Meanwhile, former beauty queen Celeste Cortesi, who was also present at the launch, told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in a quick chat that she would buy this red-orange Versace Home Pop Medussa Occasional Chair in a heartbeat if she had an unlimited shopping budget.
The price of this exquisite chair is PHP460,000.
