On Friday, September 22, 2023, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had an interview with the couple regarding Juliana's recent birthday.
The conversation took place during the first day of Bench Fashion Week Holiday 2023 held at Bench Tower in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
During the conversation, Richard and Lucy expressed their immense pride as they watched Juliana evolve into the woman she is today.
Richard said, "She's really growing up fast, you know?
"And I'm very happy with what she's doing. Her studies are going well. She's doing good in sports as well."
Richard is also proud of Juliana for excelling as one of his political officers.
She's on the congressman's team, focusing mainly on research in her role as Political Officer 3, working under her father's Chief of Staff.
He continued, "Juliana's doing well with work. She's very much interested in it, and... She's good. She's good, e. Very intelligent."

Lucy echoed her husband's pride in their daughter, expressing her happiness with Juliana's growth.
The Ormoc City mayor said, "I'm very happy with how Juliana has turned out.
"She's always been an easy child... She's also very happy in life right now, so...
"I can only continue to power her in prayer and wish her every happiness, every success."
The couple further noted that they didn't really feel any sense of sadness or yearning for the past as they witnessed Juliana marking another year older.
Richard explained, "Hindi naman... [Kasi] when she was growing up, we were always together. So it was just exciting and nice to see Juliana grow up."
Lucy added, "Our little family of three, we've been... We've been very blessed to be in each other's lives all the time.
"Parang hindi kami hiwa-hiwalay. If ever man, parang, sanding sandali lang."
With that said, are they prepared for the prospect of their daughter eventually leaving their home?
Without batting an eyelash, Lucy laughingly declared, "Hindi! Hindi siya lilipat ng bahay, Nikko..."
She added, "Tanungin mo ako next year, yun pa rin ang sagot ko... Hindi siya lilipat ng bahay."
LUCY TORRES: FASHION DESIGNER
Meanwhile, Lucy shared her latest collection inspiration for Kashieca, aiming for effortless and versatile wear.
Drawing from her and Juliana's habit of sharing clothes, the collection caters to both mothers and their adult daughters, promoting easy and adaptable styling.
"I just wanted something that's very easy to wear.
"And then, I also took inspiration from the way Juliana and I are, na we borrow each other's clothes.
"So, I wanted it to be a collection where there's something both for the mother and her grown-up daughter.
"And they can just, you know, wear it in many different ways."
