Apart from acting, Daniel Padilla also showcases his creativity through perfumes.
On October 14, 2023, the ABS-CBN actor proudly launched three new fragrances in collaboration with lifestyle brand BENCH/ at Electric Garden in Bonifacio Global City.
During an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Daniel shared his excitement about finally releasing his new perfume line, especially since he created the scents at the peak of the pandemic.
"Sakto rin na ginawa na namin ng BENCH/ ito noong pandemic kasi lahat naman tayo, walang ginagawa noong panahon na yun e, di ba?
"So binigyan nila ako ng konting trabaho na magamit naman yung creativity ko at baka mabaliw na ako, e.
"So yeah, kaya ngayon excited ako. Tapusin muna natin ito then let's make a new line kasi iba naman na yung ano ko ngayon, e, iba na yung vibe ko, e."
DANIEL PADILLA: FRAGRANCE AND MEMORIES
Daniel revealed he inherited his fondness for perfumes and the desire for a distinctive scent from his family—particularly from his mom Karla Estrada, dad Rommel Padilla, and even his uncle, Robin Padilla.
He recalled, "Natuto ako sa fragrances o sa mga pabango because of my mom at saka sa erpat ko.
"Dahil mom ko talagang pagpasok mo sa kuwarto niya... karaming pabangong pwede mong pagpilian doon.
"And also my dad. At sa Tito Robin ko din, naging signature nila yung... yun yung naaalala sa kanila all the time.
"Yung bango nila, yung amoy nila. Everytime."
The Kapamilya actor also loves perfumes because they trigger pleasant memories, an experience called the Proust effect—where certain scents, like your mother's perfume or a favorite meal, evoke strong recollections.
Daniel recalled a specific scent of cologne his mom used when they were kids.
"Pag naamoy kayo yung mga Gotas... yung Gotas na classic na cologne, yun, pag naamoy ko, nanay ko naaalala ko.
"Malalaking bote yun, kasi favorite ng ermats ko yun, kasi puwede ka mag-spray na mag-spray, saka di masakit sa ilong, di masakit sa ulo.
"Yung ganoon lang, di masyadong malakas."
Daniel also mentioned that his girlfriend, Kathryn Bernardo, shares his passion for perfumes.
"Nako mahilig din yun, super hilig din nun sa pabango," the Star Magic talent shared.
When asked to describe Kathryn's go-to scent, he said, "Alam ko yung amoy niya... Ngayon parang very nauuso yung woody [scent] kahit sa babae.
"Yung woody smells kahit sa babae kasi nagkakaroon ng karakter, e, very jazzy. Gusto ko yung ganun, medyo tobacco yung dating."

DANIEL PADILLA: PERFUME TIPS
Daniel loves to tailor his perfume choice to his mood, keeping people intrigued and guessing about his fragrance selection.
He provided an example, and said, "Meron kasing mga gabi na kunyari medyo special yung event na yun, di ba dapat meron kang karakter na darating dun."
With his most recent perfume collection, he opted for fresh and clean scents suitable for daily use.
He explained, "Kasi hindi naman tayo puwede mag masyadong malalakas na amoy kasi mahirap din sa mga tao, lalo na tatlo lang naman yung variant na gagawin natin.
"So, yung puwede pang estudyante, di ba? The daily commuters na gusto natin andun pa rin yung bango natin, di ba? Nausukan man tayo... [ang] bango mo pa rin."
Currently, Daniel is particularly fond of woody and jazzy scents. He envisions including these in his next perfume collection.
"Now, iyan, nandun ako. So, after nito let's do that, para ano naman, [iba naman]."
He added, "Mas, ano, mas character yung mga gusto kong gawin [sa sunod]. Kasi ito mas safe tayo dito, e."
DANIEL PADILLA'S PERFUMES: HOW MUCH AND WHERE TO GET THEM?
Daniel's collection of perfumes draws inspiration from his profound love for nature and the lively elements of Japanese culture.
It includes two unisex scents: Shiroi, an eau de toilette, and the Akai body spray.
The Shiroi fragrance exudes a comforting aroma, blending notes of orange, garden accord, bergamot, jasmine rose, musk, and sandalwood.
