For the Jnauary 12, 2024 episode of The Major Major Podcast with Venus Raj, the Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2010 titleholder interviews her husband North Orillan, whom she married on December 12, 2023.
The newlyweds delve into the intricacies of their life as a married couple.

EXPECTATIONS
When the discussion turns to expectations, Venus shares a revelation about her initial fears regarding marriage.
The beauty queen tells of the moment she realized "that it is not as scary as people say it is or it's not as scary as I thought it will be."
She explains: "Prior to getting married, me as an overthinker, ang dami kong iniisip na, 'Hala, pag kinasal ka, ganito na mangyayari, ganito na, ganyan na.'
"Laging sinasabi ng mga tao, 'Mag-iiba na yung buhay mo,' which, totoo naman, mag-iiba naman talaga. Dynamics and all that.
"Pero, it's not scary in a sense na parang matatakot kang pumasok sa married life dahil nakakatakot yung papasukin mo," she says.
"For me, it's surprising because, by God's grace, our relationship is, you know, it's light, it's beautiful, it's open. We're enjoying it."
North chimes in, "Praise God for that."
Venus continues, "Hindi siya parang, hindi siya nakakatakot na bagay na pasukin...
"It's amazing when God says na talagang marriage is a picture of Christ and the Church.
"Yung sarap ng pakiramdam na may asawa ka, na you are with this person that you love, that you wake up every day with this person that you love.
"Yun siguro yung patikim pa lang dun sa beauty ng marriage na sinasabi ng Bible, that it's a story of Christ and the Church."

FAVORITE MOMENT
Delving deeper into their personal moments, Venus asks North to reveal his favorite memory from their wedding day.
North exclaims, "Gosh! There were a lot of moments.
"So, after the wedding day, one of my favorite moments is when we finally get to enjoy God's gift of intimacy."
He goes on to describe: "One of the most precious moments that I was able to share with you.
"And to be able to experience that in such a pure and guiltless way, I think you could say that, guiltless, shameless way, and guilt-free."
He adds: "It was such an empowering moment for me because when you start on the right foot, in this case, the marriage, parang that gift of intimacy becomes a very beautiful thing."

ON HAVING BABIES
Looking ahead, North discusses their plans for the year, with becoming parents as one of the priorities.
"Have a baby," North declares. "That's like the number one thing that popped in my mind."
Clarifying, he notes, "I mean, there are a lot of goals naman, and, you know, we've talked with family, you know, plans for 2024.
"But for me, for us as a family, I want to start, you know, and have a baby.
"We've been praying about this even until now, and that's definitely something that I look forward to.
"I wait expectantly for that. So, yeah, the baby for sure."
Resonating with North's sentiments, Venus affirms, "Definitely, I would love to have children soon," while acknowledging the role of God in all of it.
She adds, "Kahit sabihin namin na this is our plan or this is our goal, at the end of the day, it's the Lord that gives us the desires of our hearts.
"And we know that children are a gift from God. So, kahit planuhin namin ni North yan ng maigi, it's still, you know, the Lord's will that will prevail."
North concludes, "Because we never know. We can always just do our part and let God do his part."
