Does marriage change one's shopping habit?
Famous personalities Small Laude, Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, Dani Barretto, and Miss Meiko shared their perspectives on the subject.
It happened during the contract renewal of Belle Mariano for SHEIN on March 13, 2024, when vlogger Viy Cortez asked these celebrity wives and other female stars about their shopping habits.

SHOPPING LIMIT
Viy first asked about their spending limit when they go shopping.
SMALL LAUDE
Small admitted, "Oh, nako! Basta I like the item, talaga hindi ako makakatulog. I'll get it."
Viy then confessed that in her case, "Pag lumagpas po ng 30,000, parang ipagdadasal ko muna."
Small thought Viy meant it was in US dollars, and they both laughed when the vlogger clarified "30,000 pesos lang po."
MELAI CANTIVEROS
Meanwhile, Melai offered her rule when shopping: "Ako, pagka-sweldo, pag sweldo talaga, parang sinasabi ko, deserve."
The Magandang Buhay host explained, "Siguro ang talagang pinaka-reach ko talaga ngayon, in this season of my life, [PhP]10,000.
"Pag na-reach ko na yan, buy na talaga. Minsan nga [PhP]5,000 lang. Pero pag hindi suweldo, [PhP]1,000 lang."
DANI BARRETTO
Dani, however, has a unique approach to shopping because she buys stuff in the wee hours of the day.
She would go to town shopping at that hour until she was caught by her husband Xavi Panlilio.
Dani said, "Kasi madaling araw ako nagsha-shopping kaya minsan di na ako nag-iisip nang maayos.
"Yung pinakamalaki na lang. Pinakamalaki ko na na-shop sa SHEIN app is [PhP]15,000.
"So nung dumating, sh*t, umabot pala ng [PhP]15,000. Kasi COD [cash on delivery], wala ako sa bahay, so nahuli ako ni Xavi."
BELLE MARIANO
Belle, who had just renewed her partnership with SHEIN, exclaimed, "Oh my gosh! Andaming nasa cart, guys, ayoko na sabihin."

SPOUSAL APPROVAL
The second part of Viy's Q and A answered the question: "Kapag po ba nagsha-shopping kayo, nagpapaalam pa po kayo sa inyong husband?"
Small said she would ask permission when using her husband's money: "Ah, pag pera niya, yes. Pero pag my money, no na."
Melai, on the other hand, joked in true comedian fashion: "Walang paalam, paalam kasi wala akong respeto."
Laughing, she continued, "In this time naman, ang husband ko is very, wala siyang pakialam sa finances ko naman.
"So, money ko is money ko, money niya is money namin.
"Hindi na ako nagpapaalam, bilhin lang ako sa anong gusto ko, kasi wala naman siyang pakialam."
For Dani, "No, hindi ako nagpapaalam. Nagkakagulatan na lang kami pag dumadating na ang parcel sa bahay. Happy wife, happy life."
Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 Herlene Budol, single, also related how she would handle the situation.
She asserted, "Kung ako magkaka-dyowa, hindi na kailangan. Actually talaga, hindi ako nagsha-shopping.
"Netong nakaraan lang ako nakapag-shopping ng mga kailangan ko kasi kailangan ko yun.
"Saka hindi na ako magpapaalam kasi kailangan ko nga yun sa trabaho ko, saka pera ko nga naman.
"Kanya-kanyang grind na lang yun."
