What are HYBRID CARS?

Hybrid cars typically come with a higher price tag compared to conventional gasoline-powered vehicles, but they offer significant environmental benefits.

By combining a gasoline engine with an electric motor, hybrid cars reduce reliance on fossil fuels and emit lower levels of CO2, making them a much more eco-friendly option.

In addition to their eco-friendly attributes, one of the most significant advantages of owning a hybrid car is their exemption from the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP), commonly known as the number/color coding scheme.

Republic Act No. 11697 (Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act or EVIDA) stipulates that hybrid and electric vehicles are not subject to this coding scheme.

Consequently, full hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), including the Haval Jolion HEV Supreme, are not restricted by coding rules.
