Sweden-based Filipino fashionista Bryanboy and his Swedish spouse are nearing their 10th wedding anniversary and 15 years of companionship.
At a press conference hosted by Viva Artist Agency on April 13, 2024, Bryanboy briefly touched upon their relationship, expressing pride in the fact that he and his husband tied the knot in the year it became legal in the United States.
He told the press, "We got married when gay marriage became legal in the United States. That's how, you know, he proposed... in 2015. So, 9 years [na kaming kasal]."
After nearly a decade together, press members inquired whether Bryanboy and his husband had contemplated starting a family.
Bryanboy acknowledged that the topic had been discussed, expressing their openness to the idea, but emphasizing that they are also waiting for the opportune moment to have a kid of their own.
In his words, "We've been thinking about this, actually.
"You know, I'm 42 years old and my husband's 43. And we've been talking about this for like, a couple of years.
"But then, he told me, 'Bryan, it's really down to you when you're ready.'
"Because I'm the one with a crazy life. I'm the one traveling. He works 9 to 5, you know?
"He's there. He's the one taking care of the dog. You know what I mean?
"So, ako talaga, it's my schedule. So, when am I ever going to be ready?"
But when the right time comes, does he want a baby boy or baby girl?
Bryanboy said, "Gusto ko, daughter."
Bryanboy stressed that they will only consider having their own child once he feels ready to commit fully as a hands-on parent alongside his husband.
"A lot of my friends naman, parang, you know, a lot of my friends, they're working moms.
"They do the same thing I'm doing. But for me, when I have a child, I want to make sure I'm there for her, you know?"

BRYANBOY ON KEEPING THINGS PRIVATE
Bryanboy has spent the majority of his life in front of a camera, yet he remains vigilant about safeguarding the privacy of his loved ones, especially the identity of his husband.
He told the press, "I show a lot, you know, to the public. I mean, for me, I just need to have a separation.
"Personal life is always different from professional life.
"You know, and sometimes you combine the two. But they're always different. Always."
The influencer added, "You just have to protect your loved ones. Hindi siya kasali, he doesn't do anything and it's fine."
True to his statement, Bryanboy rarely shares posts featuring his husband, reserving such moments for special occasions.
When he does, only parts of his husband's body are shown, with his face intentionally obscured, as seen on a TikTok post from April 2022.
@bryanboy I met my husband 12 years ago and we have been together ever since. Our love remains stronger than ever — and stood the test of time, just like the iconic Royal Oak. I look forward to spending the rest of my days in this world with the love of my life. This is #UsIn50 with Audemars Piguet. #RoyalOak50Years ? original sound - Bryanboy
This discretion underscored Bryanboy's commitment to safeguarding their privacy, a choice that intrigued his followers.
But Bryanboy emphasized that this secrecy surrounding their private lives was integral to the longevity of his relationship with his husband.
He further explained, "For me, that's why we've been together for 14 years. That's why the marriage lasted long because there's a separation of church and state.
"He doesn't get involved in what I do. I never involve him. And sometimes, we joke in the early days of my career.
"We were like, joking, 'Maybe I should get like a fake husband so that, you know, for social media.' But then I was like, 'No, I can't.'
"But you have to separate the two. It's very, very important because he's not a public figure.
"Thank god I have friends who are also on social media and also public figures. And we kind of, you know, just work together.
"You really need to separate professional and personal."
BRYANBOY ON MARRIED LIFE
Bryanboy was asked how he manages love and career, especially with many attractive people around, particularly during fashion week.
Despite the abundance of attractive individuals in the fashion world, he remains resolute in prioritizing his marriage.
He said, "During fashion week, there's no time sa mga cuties!
"Kailangan work, kailangan natin ng ano... ng money! You know what I mean? It's all about work.
"For me, I've seen so many hot guys all the time. But for me, it's like, 'Nah!' You still go back home to your loved one."
Members of the press were also curious if Bryanboy's husband had already visited the Philippines.
In response, Bryanboy confirmed, "Dito po kami nag-Christmas and New Year."
He added, "He loves it here."
While his husband enjoys the country, Bryanboy admitted they struggle with their different tastes in food and cooking styles.
"Yung problema lang po minsan yung mga pagkain.
"Walang lasa yung pagkain nila. So, parang, you know what I mean, parang, I mean, he's very adventurous, but kasi yung mga gusto ko talaga, parang ayaw niya.
"I love my bagoong. Kapag andiyan na yung bagoong, parang, 'Ano yan?' you know.
"Sa bahay, I love tuyo. You know, magpiprito lang ako ng tuyo kapag wala siya. You know what I mean? So, may mga ganung [eksena]."
