Rapper and entrepreneur Jayson Luzadas, popularly known as Boss Toyo, has carved out a niche for himself with his YouTube series Pinoy Pawnstars.
Boss Toyo's vlog series draws inspiration from the American reality TV show Pawn Stars, which highlights the daily operations of Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, a 24-hour family business in Las Vegas known for rare collectibles, art and memorabilia.
Similar to the American reality show, Boss Toyo chronicles his purchases through his vlog.
When asked about the amount he has invested in these showbiz collectibles, Boss Toyo didn't hesitate to reveal that he has already spent millions.
He said, "Siguro mga around PHP14 million in the span of two years... so far."

BOSS TOYO: PINOY PAWNSTARS MUSEUM
Despite having shelled out a lot of money, Boss Toyo stated that he isn't expecting a quick Return On investment (ROI).
The content creator currently has no plans to resell any of the items he has collected so far.
He explained, "Especially those mga rare items, like 1 of 1. Siguro, definitely, for me, hindi ko siya ibebenta pa dahil assumption nga parang 1 of 1 siya.
"So ako lang meron. It's a, parang for me, it's a bragging right. Ako lang yung merong ganoon. And bragging rights din ng shop ko yun, dahil kami lang yung meron."
Boss Toyo plans to display them in his own museum, which held its groundbreaking ceremony on June 8, 2024, in Kamias, Quezon City.
He told the press, "As of now, wala pa. I'm not looking for ROI at the moment kasi I'm really looking for a long term. Kasi sa long term, kung puwede nga maipasa ko sa mga anak ko.
"Doon siguro, yun na yung ROI, pag na-establish ko yung isang institute na ako yung nagpasimula na nagbibigay ng halaga sa mga gamit ng mga sikat at kilala na ako dito sa Pilipinas, it's a, I'm very grateful na yun yung nai-good na gawa ko."
With his rise to fame as a "Pinoy Pawnstar," netizens have started making a playful online joke about selling their valuable items to Boss Toyo.
In response, Boss Toyo feels grateful that people recognize his efforts.
He said, "Actually, masaya ako kasi nga katulad ng sinabi ko, may ginawa akong trend that will last for as long as nabubuhay ako, sa tingin ko.
"It will be my legacy and my family legacy na mapagpatuloy ko ito hanggang sa abot ng aking makakaya."
Boss Toyo finds immense satisfaction in pursuing his passion and hopes to leave a legacy that showcases his appreciation for these showbiz collectibles.
"It will establish ako yung nagpasimula niyan dito sa Pilipinas, na nagbigay ng halaga sa mga gamit ng mga kilala at sikat na personalidad, kahit hindi naman sikat na masyado... biglaang sumikat yung mga ganung bagay.
"For us, parang kailangan din natin siyang pahalagahan kasi not everyone nagkakaroon ng ganoong chance na makilala sa buong bansa natin.
"At alam niyo naman, makabayan tayo so doon tayo sa sariling atin."
BOSS TOYO ON COLLECTION OF SHOWBIZ MEMORABILIA
Members of the press also asked Boss Toyo about his favorite pieces in his collection so far.
Without hesitation, Boss Toyo expressed his deep affection for his Francis Magalona memorabilia collection.
"Siyempre, yung walang kamatayang Francis Magalona [memorabilia].
"Ayan, siyempre ako lang meron nun so talagang yun yung isa sa mga pinaka-talagang gusto ko."
He continued, "Yung love letter... The love letter actually yung pinaka-favorite ko kasi it's a handwritten letter from Francis Magalona na talagang natago nang matagal at walang nakakaalam."
But what are the items on his wish list?
Boss Toyo answered, "Yung kay Captain Barbell ni Edward Bautista. Diyan din yung elastic man ni Vic Sotto. And iyan yung mga gusto ko.
"'Tsaka si Ina Raymundo, anything from Ina Raymundo. Kasi idol ko yun lalo na yung Sabado Nights," referring to the San Miguel Beer TV commercial that catapulted the actress to fame.
Does he plan to collect items related to K-pop or K-drama?
Boss Toyo said, "Actually I'm planning to buy na rin for K-pop kasi sobrang lakas talaga ng K-pop. Kaso nga, hindi kasi ako into K-pop...
"Pero kasi, you know, katulad nga nasa title pala, yung it's Pinoy.
"So talagang I'm really rooting for our fellow Filipinos na yung mga gamit talaga nila."
