At long last, Pop Mart is in Manila!
Starting this November 2, 2024, Filipinos can shop for their cherished Pop Mart toys and characters at the brand's debut pop-up store on Level 2, North Entertainment Mall, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
Leading up to the official day, a grand launching ceremony occurred on October 31, 2024.
Celebrities, content creators, and press members such as PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) were provided with a tour unveiling what to expect at Pop Mart's pop-up store.
MARIAN RIVERA AT THE POP MART PH POP-UP STORE
GMA-7's Prime Time Queen Marian Rivera was tapped for the occasion and helped officiate the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
During a brief interview after the event, Marian expressed her gratitude for being invited by the brand to their first pop-up store in Manila, as a devoted fan of their toy characters.
Marian said of her collection, "Parang nakakatuwa lang siyang i-collect."
The Kapuso star further noted that she's been collecting toys for years, starting with Sanrio characters. But the irresistible charm of Pop Mart's toys has inspired her to revive her collecting passion.
"Nagko-collect ako before, pero Sanrío, alam mo yung mga Hello Kitty, so yan.
"Bumalik na lang ulit ako ngayon, parang sabi ko, something new, na parang bumalik yung dating hobby ko."

Speaking exclusively to PEP.ph, Jeremy Lee, Pop Mart's Southeast Asia Market Director, conveyed their delight at having Marian participate in the brand's country launch, highlighting that she's also a major fan of their toys.
Jeremy said, "I'm really grateful for her presence and as you know, she's a great fan. And I think that's how we like it... to keep it organic... People who genuinely like our products.
"And I think, when we invite them... obviously, you see she has such a huge following, [she's] such a huge influencer. I'm just really grateful to have her here at the launch."
On a personal note, Jeremy also expressed his excitement now that Pop Mart has officially arrived in the Philippines.
"I think today's event went really well. I'm really happy to see a lot of familiar faces, people from the creative industry.
"And I think more importantly, I'm very excited to bring the very first Pop Mart pop-up to the Philippines."
At the launch event, Jeremy was asked about involving Filipino artists in their toy designs, and he is certainly open to the idea of having one contribute to their exclusive licensed intellectual properties.
He said, "At some point in time, it's gonna be a yes!"
But is there a plan for Pop Mart to open an official physical store in the Philippines?
Jeremy confirmed, "Coming very, very soon! Look out for us in 2025!"

POP MART PH: REGISTRATION AND QUEUING GUIDELINES
Online registration is mandatory.
Only individuals with confirmed bookings and secured pre-registered slots will be permitted to shop from November 2 to 6, 2024, according to their assigned schedules.
Walk-ins will not be permitted on these days and latecomers will not be accommodated.
On the visit day, the customer needs to present their booking reference number along with a government-issued ID at the validation booth.
They should arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled time slot; late arrivals will not be accommodated, and bookings will be forfeited.
Each registered customer is allocated 20 minutes for shopping.
Starting November 7, the store will be open to the general public.
QUEUING GUIDELINES
Customers with confirmed bookings should go to Station 0 on Level 1 North Entertainment Mall, SM Mall of Asia, near Starbucks, for pre-validation.
Pre-validated customers proceed to Station 1 for confirmation. They'll receive a Queuing ID with their time slot.
Stations 2 and 3 will serve as waiting areas before moving to Station 4, the Door Queuing Area.
At Station 4, customers present and surrender their physical Queuing ID to security at the Pop-Up entrance.

CAN YOU BRING A KID WHILE SHOPPING?
Children and minors under 18 years old will be granted entry without registration, provided they are accompanied by one legal guardian who has secured or pre-registered a slot. Only one minor or child is permitted per pre-registered individual.
POP MART TOYS AND PRICES
Items will be available at standard retail prices.
However, Pop Mart Philippines will impose purchase limits on their best-sellers, including The Monsters blindboxes, CRYBABY x Powerpuff Girls bag charms, and plush dolls, and Hirono items, among many others.
Dimoo, Kubo, Pucky, and Peach Riot blindboxes and figurines are also available.
