Khalil Ramos has fulfilled another dream: to buy his dream car.
The Sparkle GMA Artist Center talent shared this milestone in an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on January 25, 2025, at the grand launch of the Redmi Note 14 Series in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
"I just got a car. So I invested in one of my dream cars," he said.
"And parang hindi na yata ako gagastos nang buong taon dahil nabili ko na early on... in this year yung gusto ko."
Khalil celebrated his 29th birthday on January 22, purchasing a Land Cruiser 250, a car he had been saving up for since he began his showbiz career.
The Kapuso actor revealed, "Ever since I started working, pinag-iipunan ko na siya. It's one of my dream cars. It's a Land Cruiser 250."
Apart from saving up for his dream car, Khalil even sold two of his old cars to make his dream a reality.
"Ito, bagong labas lang kasi. So, noong lumabas siya, sabi ko, yun na yun. 'This is it.
Mag-iipon ako.'
"So I sold two of my cars to get my end-game car. So yun na."
According to the brand's website, the Land Cruiser Prado costs PHP4.8 million.
"So it's a good investment naman," Khalil said.
"I was advised by, you know, a lot of my friends and my family na okay siyang bilhin because of the resale value is good."
He added, "Growing up, it was always the end-game car. I think yun yung reputation ng car na yun. You get that car and it's done.
"You won't buy cars ever again, so I've always wanted a Land Cruiser."
KHALIL RAMOS: INVESTMENT
Khalil has always been cautious with his major purchases, prioritizing investments that enhance his work as an actor and a content creator.
In addition to the car, he considers smartphones a valuable investment, especially for someone in his line of work.
Khalil explained, "Phones are very good investments. You do everything on your phone now.
"Phones are no longer just for communication or just for texting or calling right now, especially for content creators like me, also for actors, di ba?
"Dun kami nagpo-post. That's where we manage our social media accounts. That's where we create content."
Khalil continued, "Right now, actually, in my phone, I can shoot, I can edit. You know, with all the tools right now. Especially with what we just launched in Redmi Note 14 Pro.
"It has AI features built in already. So, it's very, very important to have a phone that's feature-packed para sulit."
However, Khalil noted that he doesn't believe the most expensive smartphone is necessarily the best choice.
For him, it's essential to consider the desired features at a reasonable price to get the most value.
Speaking from experience, he said, "Ako, I'm not one that just looks at the price and goes, 'Oh, yung pinakamahal yung kukunin ko, kasi that's probably the best one.'
"Mas gusto ko yung bang for the buck. Meaning, yung price to quality ratio. Parang you get more than what you pay for."
Referring to the Redmi Note 14 Pro, he said, "And I believe this phone, as a mid-level entry phone, ano siya, you get more than what you pay for. Kasi nga, ganda ng camera, and has AI feature.
"So, yeah, siyempre sa mga price conscious diyan, it's good to research talaga on which phone is best for you."

KHALIL RAMOS: BIRTHDAY
Meanwhile, Khalil also celebrated his 29th birthday by spending time with his loved ones, including girlfriend Gabbi Garcia.
"Masaya, masaya yung birthday celebrations ko. Simple lang, dahil medyo busy sa work ngayon.
"Sabi ko kina Gabbi and sa family ko, simple lang, you know. I just want to see my friends and family, you know.
"Celebrate with them, tapos back to work na ako."
And now that he has his dream car, his remaining birthday wishes are relatively simple.
"Siguro, for, you know, for more growth when it comes to my personal life, when it comes to my career as well.
"And siyempre, I want to remain healthy. Ayokong magkasakit.
"Yun, simple lang naman ang gusto ko."
