Piolo Pascual, 48, says his family is his motivation for working hard so he makes sure that he handles his earnings wisely.

He says his talent fee automatically goes to three things: saving, day-to-day expenses, and investment.

Speaking to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Piolo explains: "Allot a certain percentage of your income for savings and allot certain percentage of your income that you can spend on day-to-day basis, and also allot percentage of your income for something that you can put up as a business.

"Hindi ka puwedeng one-day millionaire.

"Kailangan lahat diyan... Meron ka pang tax na iniisip, meron ka pang mga daily expenses na iniisip.

"So you have to make sure that you're spending your money wisely."

Referring to the frustrating flood-control anomalies involving government officials, he says, "At saka hard-earned money iyan, e. Hindi naman corrupt money."

Smiling, he adds, "O, nasama na yung corrupt."

Piolo stresses the importance of being financially responsible and ready for whatever the future may hold.

"Society is very volatile nowadays so you have to be wise in your spending, and it's the reason also why I'm not stopping, why I'm not slowing down.

"Because, of course, I want to save up for the future, not just for myself but for my family as well.

"So you have to be practical in your investments. Di ka naman puwedeng sugod lang nang sugod, kailangan inaaral.

"And as I am advancing in years I am becoming more practical in terms of where to invest, how to invest my money, and making sure that, you know, I'm doing the right thing.

"Yung mga investments mo kasi, dapat alam mo bago mo pinapasok, short of saying you know it has to be calculated risk, so yun lang."

This year he worked on three films—the thriller film The Ride; family drama Meet, Greet & Bye, and the crime drama and 2025 Metro Manila Film Fest entry Manila's Finest.

"I am trying to juggle all those schedules and making sure na magawa ko lahat before the year ends.

"It's such a blessing, you know, to be this busy because siguro mababaliw ako pag wala akong ginagawa.

"Nowadays, marami na tayong nalalabas na mga pelikula, and I hope, you know, this is a sign na bumabalik na yung mga tao sa sinehan."

Piolo is also grateful to his BDO family that has always been supportive of his films.

BDO organized a block screening for his film The Ride in September, and the brand is also spearheading an advanced screening for his newest film film Meet, Greet & Bye at SM Megamall tonight, November 11, 2025.

"I'm just really happy because with BDO, every movie that I have, they're always part of it—be it an intrusion in the film or block screening.
