JMFYANG FANS ARE ALWAYS THERE
When PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) did the cover shoot for Fyang and JM, select members from their different fandoms were invited.
This took place on the afternoon of October 28, 2025.
More than an hour before the call time, fans belonging to JMFYANG, Team Fyang Official, Team JM Ibarra Solids, JM Pexers Official, JM Ibarra Official, and Fyang Slayers Official began arriving at the venue one by one.
Everyone on the list showed up—and they were all on time.
It was easy to see that these fans from six different groups made up an interesting mix: students and professionals, male, female, and those in between.
Just as they were punctual for the call time, the fans were also diligent in completing all requirements and following instructions for the day’s event.
Considering how large the group was during the shoot, their cooperation was impressive.
If anything, their conduct showed how seriously they take their role as fans—fully aware that their behavior reflects on the idols they support.
And in the interviews with each group, we gained a deeper understanding of their dynamics as fans.
For them, it is not just about entertainment or a hobby.
It is a responsibility they take to heart.

They tirelessly attend every JM and Fyang event, not just in the metro but also in the provinces.
This often means waiting until the wee hours, until the event ends and all attendees have gone home.
The fans stay for their idols to come out of the tent, hoping for a brief moment to show that they were there—a sign of their unrelenting support.
Even just a glimpse—or a wave, at the very least—from their idols is enough reward for enduring the day’s busy event.
It doesn’t matter if their idols have another engagement later that day.
These fans, or at least some of them, will still show up to represent their fan group
Those who attend the event share updates with their fellow fans—especially for members who are working abroad or in other regions—through live feeds, photos, and videos in their messaging groups.
They may come in clusters, but they all come together for charity events bearing their idols’ names, for organizing JM and Fyang’s birthday celebrations, and for inviting the love team’s families and friends.
They willingly pool their resources, and those who are able don’t hesitate to contribute a larger share.
They come together when their idols are dragged into controversies, devising a game plan to shield them from bashing and harsh criticism.
Q & A with JM-FYANG FANS
During the PEP interview, it was clear that, for these fans, supporting their idols and showing them love is unconditional.
A similar set of questions was asked to members of the fan clubs, and their answers (published as is) were compiled collectively.
When did you put up your fan club? How many members are there in your group?
Team Fyang Official:
Currently, we cannot count but Team Fyang Official have 10 administrators. And the members come from everywhere, for instance on X (formerly Twitter), and other social media platforms so it is hard to count. Members also have different ages.
Fyang is friends with our group’s admin, who also convinced Fyang to audition for PBB. When Fyang entered the PBB house on August 2024, our fan club became official.
JM Ibarra Solids:
We cannot count how many members there are, but there are a lot. Some members are not active because they come from different places. However, they are supportive when it comes to other activities, such as contributing for charity drives, donations, or in other projects that our fan club would like to execute.
JM Pexers Official:
Our group was established on January 9, 2025.
The previous admins of this group took a break, so new admin staff took over. So that’s how Team JM Pexers Official started. We’re like under a new leadership.
Then members met up on an online page, and it went on until our group got bigger.
JM Ibarra Official:
We started during the PBB: Gen 11 Season. We are at least 70 or more members that have communication on social media.
Fyang Slayers:
It all started through Messenger, in a group chat that is full of Fyang's supporters during PBB days. Then proceeded to being an official fan group. We are 70 plus members with two admins.

What is the most expensive gift you have given your idol?
Team Fyang Official:
The charity events that we put up is what we consider “most expensive,” not just in terms of money, but also out of love for Fyang.
But one gift for Fyang that we gave her is an Airwheel [electric scooter luggage], during the anniversary of our fan club.
It was the perfect gift because many of her commitments are abroad, so that’s what we thought of giving her.
Also a Christmas charity event at a care home for the elders.
It was our group’s anniversary and Fyang told us to do a charity event for the lolas. It was her who suggested that it should be a charity event.
For JM, bouquet of flowers and clothes for collabs with other fan groups.
JM Ibarra Solids:
It is the love and support for JM, especially when he came out of the house. That time JM had a lot of bashers. But instead of engaging these bashers, we just showed our support to JM, especially his family who was dragged into the issue.
These bashers look at JM negatively, but we see otherwise. So, instead of responding to their accusations, instead of answering back on social media, we kept silent in an effort not to add fuel to the fire. We silently supported JM.
JM Pexers Official:
The taping chair he uses whenever he has an acting project.
We feel delighted and “kilig” that he appreciates our gift.
And one more thing is our support whenever he has an even, just like this one.
JM Ibarra Official:
I think the birthday celebration for him just last August. We organized it. Maybe not really grand, but there wss LED screen, catering, and we invited his family and friends, as well as directors. It was like a huge birthday celebration party for JM.
Fyang Slayers:
Knowing Fyang who likes Perfume, we gave her a Miss Dior Perfume with her name engraved during our first anniversary.

What is the craziest thing you did for your idol?
Team Fyang Official:
Whenever she has an event somewhere, we go there—Zambales, Abra, Ilocos. We travel to follow and attend her events. That’s the craziest thing.
We see to it that a member of our group is present at any of her event since this is her official fandom.
JM Ibarra Solids:
Wherever JM is, or even Fyang, whether it is day or night or in the wee hours of the morning, such as in the airport, we are there.
Sometimes events finish in the early hours of the morning.
One of the craziest was mounting a charity event in Mauban, Quezon, since that’s where JM is from. That was when we saw JM was well-loved.
We conducted two charity events. We gave relief goods for kids and their family.
Then we had a meet-and-greet event at JM’s high school.
We also had activities at JM’s elementary school and gave away food for the kids.
JM Pexers:
Maybe some of us going on leave for work to attend JM’s events. But we use our leave credits at work.
Then we go to regions for JM’s event, such as Rizal. We also followed JM for an event in Iloilo, where he serenaded the contestants of a regional pageant there.
We do it as often as JM’s events. There are times that we stay until the early hours of the next day.
JM Ibarra Official:
Probably that time when JM had provincial shows one after the other, like mall shows. There was a time that he had three mall shows in a week that happened in the north, south, and then Metro Manila.
The farthest was in Iloilo and so we had to send members from Manila to Iloilo so they could go live during JM’s event.
Fyang Slayers:
We can say that the craziest thing we did for Fyang is our Aerial Banner Towing Project in Bulacan worth PHP150, 000. It’s a project where the plane takes off to the sky with a banner saying 'Happy Birthday Fyang [love] Team Fyang Slayers' as we brought our love for her to the skies as a birthday gift to her. She saw it and she loved it.

How does your idol show his/her appreciation?
Team Fyang Official:
Our head admin has direct contact with Fyang, and this admin relays to us Fyang’s message that she is grateful to us.
The first time we saw Fyang, she hugged us one by one. She just got out of the PBB house that time. She made us feel that we are not just fans, but friends.
JM Ibarra Solids:
JM is appreciative of whatever we give him, may it be a branded cup that he can use in tapings, any material stuff, aside from our love and support for him. He shows to us that he appreciates our efforts.
JM Pexers Official:
JM does not treat us like we’re fans. He treats us like his friends or family. He always say thank you. He’s so appreciative.
JM Ibarra Official:
Whenever we attend his events, when he has time, he makes sure that he spends time with us, like have our photos taken with him, even just to wave and smile. Just for him to see us present in any of his event is enough for us.
Fyang Slayers:
Well, of course, saying thank you is given, but she also shows her appreciation by showing up to our fan events, socializing and getting to know each fans. She also treats us not as strangers, but rather as family, too.

How do you protect your idol from bashing?
Team Fyang Official:
We really cannot control others when it comes to bashing, especially on social media.
For Team Fyang, we release an official statement when it comes to issues, such as bullying or mental health that were thrown at Fyang in the past, we come up with official statement for taking accountability.
JM Ibarra Solids:
We don’t engage with bashers, because bashers are everywhere. What we do instead is we show our love and support to JM. We don’t believe in bashers’ mudslinging at JM because we know him.
JM Pexers Official:
We just keep quiet because we know what is true and we know JM. We really don’t react to the noise, especially when we know that it would only add fuel to the fire. What matters is we know the truth when it comes to JM.
JM Ibarra Official:
When it comes to bashing, we don’t know engage because JM also does not want us engaging.
If we react, it would only add up to the noise.
Sometimes we reply to others explain our side. But if it’s really just bashing and it’s smudge campaign, we don’t engage. We let the issue die down.
Fyang Slayers:
By telling our members to not engage in any negativity/bashing, mostly online. That’s one of the easiest yet effective ways to practice healthy community within the fandom.

What is your wish for your JM AND FYANG?
Team Fyang Official:
More projects to come.
Good health and more projects. Peace of mind, especially in relation to the latest issue that almost affected her mental health.
JM Ibarra Solids:
That he maintains his good relationship with his family even if he now lives far away from them.
We hope that he and Fyang get to have more projects and that all of their dreams would come true.
Fyang wants to become a surgeon and JM wants to be a pilot.
JM Pexers Official:
More blessings and that his dream to become a pilot would come true some day. Of course, good health.
JM Ibarra Official:
We hope all of his dreams come true—whether it be the dream to be a pilot or whether he decides to continue his showbiz career. We are here to support.
Fyang Slayers:
We've witnessed her growth and now, she's slowly taking the spotlight. What we wish for her is to be always grateful for all the blessings that she's been receiving and to remain humble. nothing beats a grateful heart, as the saying goes.
May she continue to shine brightly, not just as a star, but as a beacon of grace, kindness, and appreciation. Because in the end, it's not just about reaching the top; it's about staying grounded and grateful along the way.
