In a time when everyone is constantly scrolling through endless posts, videos, and viral trends, standing out online has become one of the toughest challenges for any creator.

With social media feeds overflowing with polished aesthetics, curated personas, and bite-sized entertainment, it’s easy for content to get lost in the noise.

But for Vice Ganda—comedian, host, box-office star, and one of the country’s most influential digital personalities—the key ingredient to a viral moment has always been simple: authenticity.

"I think it's not a secret," the It's Showtime host told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview last October 6, 2025.

The conversation took place behind the scenes as Vice filmed Shopee Philippines’ holiday campaign.

Vice continued: “For me, the key is authenticity. I think that’s the major element for… a comment, a tweet, or a post to be relatable to people.”

For him, the most powerful content is the kind that isn’t forced.

He elaborated: “I think it’s authenticity kasi your tweet, if it’s authentic, it does not just represent you. It represents other people.

"It doesn’t just represent your voice; it represents other people’s voices as well.

"So feeling ko, kaya siya nagva-viral kasi yung mga pino-post ko o sinasabi ko, yun din yung mga gustong i-post sana, gustong sabihin ng madami pero hindi nila kaya.

"Kaya siguro sine-celebrate nila yung moment na na-post ko yun kasi… nabibigyan ko ng boses yung kanilang mga tinig na hindi nila masyadong nabigay."

VICE GANDA: DREAM COME TRUE

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda shared a personal milestone he was thrilled to achieve this year.

Thanks to Shopee, he finally checked off a long-time item on his bucket list: collaborating with OPM icon Jose Mari Chan.

Both of them were tapped as faces of the brand’s 10th anniversary holiday campaign—a full-circle moment Vice described as both special and surreal.

"Super nakakakilig to be part of this momentous event,” he said.

"Kasi 10th anniversary ng Shopee, tapos Christmas campaign pa, tapos makakasama ko pa someone very iconic: Sir Jose Mari Chan."

He shared that it had long been his dream to work with the Christmas icon.

"Dream ko iyon, e. Kasi tuwing nakikita ko yung Christmas campaign ng Shopee, aabangan mo na yung pagdating… pag BER months pa lang, aabangan mo na si Sir Jose Mari Chan. Kaya sabi ko, ‘Ay, sana magkasama kami ni Sir sa Shopee campaign.'"

This project became even more special because Kim Chiu was part of it.

"Maliban sa Showtime, nagkakasama kami… First time namin magsama sa isang endorsement kaya nakakatuwa," Vice said.

He added how meaningful it was to be chosen again by the brand.

NOOD KA MUNA!

"Yun lang, to be reconsidered by Shopee—because it’s been a while since I last did a campaign or a project with them. Matagal-tagal na din. So to be reconsidered, nakakatuwa na may trust pa rin ang Shopee sa akin. Kaya, thank God."
