As Krishnah Gravidez prepares to pass on the Miss World Philippines crown, she hopes her lasting legacy will be a message of compassion—one that inspires people to extend kindness not only to fellow humans but also to animals.
A proud fur mom, Krishnah has used her platform to spotlight animal welfare, passionately advocating against the meat trade and championing initiatives that protect and care for animals.
Krishnah shared that her love for animals began in childhood, inspired by watching her parents rescue stray animals and care for them with compassion.
"It's been my advocacy ever since I was a child," Krishnah told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an exclusive interview.
She continued, "I grew up in a household where my mom and my dad, and all of my relatives, we were rescuing cats and dogs.
"Actually, up until now, my mom, I think she has 31 cats right now, and then 17 dogs. And I personally have eight dogs."
The conversation took place on the red carpet of Miss World Philippines 2026 Charity Gala Night held at the grand ballroom of Okada Manila in Parañaque City.

After seeing her parents rescue cats and dogs throughout her childhood, Krishnah made it her own mission to extend that same kindness to every animal she encounters.
"For me, it's my lifelong mission to push for animal welfare in the Philippines.
"And in a few years, it is my personal mission, you know, to just push harder for that advocacy."
KRISHNAH GRAVIDEZ: RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP
Krishnah feels deeply grateful that her parents are able to care for all 48 rescued animals in their home.
She’s also happy and proud that she can provide for her own eight dogs.
Krishnah told PEP, "Luckily, my family... as of the moment, we can take care of all of our rescues. So thank God for that.
"And I hope more and more dogs and cats and animals to rescue in the future."
The beauty queen continued, "Actually, most of my income sa kanila nagagastos. Sabi ko nga nila, 'I'm broke for animals, but I'm happy to do that.'"
Drawing from her own experience, Krishnah says that caring for pets requires real effort and commitment.
She hopes people treat their pets as family—giving them the love and attention they deserve.
Krishnah shared, "I push for animal welfare but I also push for responsible ownership. You know, if you cannot give the quality of that the dogs deserve, then simply don't own a dog. That's it.
"But there are so many ways that you can help the animal welfare community. So I would say like research on how you can help. Maybe you can donate to shelters who needs help."
KRISHNAH GRAVIDEZ: COLOR THE WORLD WITH KINDNESS
Krishnah has actually been involved in animal welfare work since 2024, incorporating it into her own non-profit organization.
Her primary nonprofit, Color the World with Kindness, was founded in 2022 to champion children’s rights. Over time, it expanded its mission to include animal welfare, partnering with both local and international organizations to broaden its impact.
In November 2025, she visited the rescued dogs under the care of House of Hounds in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as part of her duties as Miss World Asia.
More recently, on January 26, 2026, Krishnah—together with several Miss World Philippines 2026 candidates—visited Pawssion Project’s shelter in Bulacan, where they donated food for the dogs being cared for at the facility.

Talking more about her initiatives, Krishnah shared: "I have an organization called Color the World with Kindness. We have volunteers, and we collaborate with major animal welfare organizations in the Philippines such as Pawssion Project and Biyaya Animal Care.
"We also do our best to spread awareness about animal welfare in our community—about the needs, the solutions, and the actions we can take to help ease the challenges faced in the animal welfare sector."
Krishnah emphasized that she intends to continue supporting animal welfare through her organization.
Her ultimate dream for the project is clear: a future with no more strays. And to move closer to that vision, she hopes more volunteers and advocates will join the cause.
She said, "So in the near future I'd love to have more volunteers, you know, because more volunteers means more words to spread and more audience to reach."
