Sachzna Laparan said she was deeply hurt after a relative stole money from her, admitting that the betrayal felt even more painful than a breakup: "Sariling kamag-anak mo pa, kadugo mo pa.

Content creator Sachzna Laparan expressed her gratitude for having her mother, Christine Policarpio, constantly guiding her when it comes to managing her finances.

"Ang nagha-handle talaga ng finances ko from the start is yung mom ko,” Sachzna told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an exclusive interview.

The interview was held backstage at Casino Plus’ The Angpao Rain Gala on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at The Tent in Las Piñas City.

Sachzna explained that she relies heavily on her mother’s support, given her packed schedule as an influencer and entrepreneur.

“Until now naman siyempre na nagha-handle kasi hindi ko kakayanin na ako lang ang mag-isa sa ginagawa ko as an influencer, businesswoman.

"So all-around ba, kumbaga. Ang dami kong ginagawa in life.

Though her mother oversees her finances, Sachzna emphasized that she still has the final say in how she spends and invests her money.

So far naman, doing good naman yung mga business natin,” she said.

SACHZNA LAPARAN'S FINANCE LESSON: DON'T TRUST EASILY

But if there's one imporant lesson she learned from her mom, and also from her own experience, it is to never trust anyone easily if money is involved.

NOOD KA MUNA!

Recently, she experienced being betrayed by a family member.

Without naming the relative, Sachzna revealed that this person had “stolen” money from her, prompting her to become more cautious about whom she trusts—now a key part of her New Year’s resolution.

She was deeply hurt by what happened, admitting that being betrayed by her own relative felt even more painful than a breakup.

Kumbaga, kasabay mong lumaki, kamag-anak mo."

As a lesson, she has significantly narrowed her circle.

So, wag magtiwala. Tama,” she said

TIPS FOR CONTENT CREATORS

Meanwhile, content creation remains a steady source of income for Sachzna.

During the event, she also served as a judge for Casino Plus’ video content creation challenge.

The competition awarded a total of PHP180 million in cash prizes to recognize 600 video content creators who participated.

Leading the roster were 10 standout creators, each taking home PHP2 million. The remaining prizes were spread across several categories: PHP1 million for 90 creators, PHP200,000 for 200 creators, and PHP100,000 for 300 creators, completing the PHP180-million pool.

Among the winners spotted at the event were actor Teejay Marquez; content creators Whamos Cruz, Antonette Gail, and Bont Bryan Oropel; former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Baninay Bautista; Mister International Philippines 2025 Lloyd Garcia.

When asked for tips, Sachzna emphasized that authenticity remains the most important ingredient in creating content.

For her, genuine storytelling and showing one’s true self help creators build trust, connect with viewers, and sustain long-term engagement.

Beyond authenticity, she added that creativity is just as essential, noting that fresh ideas and original approaches help creators stand out in an increasingly crowded digital space.
