Bea Borres officially launched her business Peaboo Baby, which she described as "a gentle, safe, and high-quality baby essentials" designed specifically for newborns and their delicate skin.

She turned teary-eyed while delivering her opening speech during the event held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at a restaurant in Quezon City.

Speaking with PEP.ph and the press on the sidelines, she reflected on the emotional moment, expressing deep gratitude for her current place in life.

"I faced my pregnancy alone kasi. So it was so… I was so emotional yet I’m still happy kasi finally, nakaraos na ako.

"Tapos na, okay na. Okay na yung mga struggles ko. Okay na ako. I’m finally happy… I’m finally happy and where I want to be."

BEA BORRES: THE BIRTH OF "PEABOO BABY"

Bea revealed that she thought of starting a business last year when she was pregnant with her first baby.

At 22, the content creator felt the need to channel her creativity into something meaningful—both as an outlet and as a fallback that could help secure her child’s future.

So when the opportunity came, she grabbed it.

Bea was hands-on with the project from the very beginning, and naturally, she encountered a few challenges along the way.

"Actually, hindi siya Peaboo at first. Iba-iba pa. Pero may nakakuha na nung mga naisip ko. Registered na sila. So eto yung pinaka-cute.

"Kasi when you play with a baby, ‘Peekaboo, peekaboo!’ So Peaboo."

Eventually, she decided on "Peaboo," a sweet nod to the nickname she lovingly called her baby during pregnancy—“Pea.”

Bea added: "It’s very catchy. May natutunan din ako sa business school—dapat catchy yung name. So, Peaboo Baby. Di ba ang sarap niyang sabihin? Peaboo Baby."

Still according to her, the choice felt natural, especially since “Pea” already had strong recall among her social media followers.

"Nagulat nga ako, e. Lagi may lumalapit sa akin na, ‘Where’s Pea? Where’s Pea?’ So natuwa ako kasi may recall na agad. ‘Oh, it’s her baby.’”

Some guests thought that the name “Pea” on the invitation hinted at a baby reveal.

But Bea clarified with a laugh: “People thought na i-reveal ko si Pea. Pero I’m sorry, hindi naman talaga. It’s my other baby—si Peaboo.”

By the way, her daughter's name is Victoria Hope.

Another major challenge for Bea was finalizing some crucial details for her baby brand.

She admitted the process was difficult for her, saying: “I’m very, very indecisive. Honestly, it’s so easy to reject something. Kapag inaamoy mo or pina-feel mo yung product, parang sasabihin mo, ‘Ay, ayaw ko ’iyan.’

“But when they give you two options and both are really good, sobrang hirap talagang mamili. Kasi, oh my god, I want both, pero hindi, isa lang talaga ang puwede. So I think, yun talaga yung pinaka-challenging for me.

NOOD KA MUNA!

“Even with the packaging, parang, ‘Ay, bet ko itong packaging na ito.’ Pero hindi, kailangan one lang. So I think that was the hardest part for me—deciding on that final, final choice.”

MADE FOR BABIES AND MOMS

Bea made sure that every product in her baby brand is safe for infants, even testing them on herself to ensure their quality.

She emphasized that her brand is cruelty-free and does not test on animals.

"I actually personally use it, especially the lotion because it smells so good. And I really love lotions.

"Mahilig talaga ako sa mga very sweet scents, kaya I also use this on myself.

"Ever since I was young, my mom taught me to always keep my skin hydrated. And I also use the vegan baby cream on myself.

"And, of course the wipes. Universal naman talaga ang wipes."

To guarantee safety, Bea also consulted with experts.

"I really had doctors involved, and I also asked my tito who’s in business. Sabi ko, ‘Ano ba?’

"And he told me, ‘Baby products need to be gentle and safe. You can’t just put anything on a baby.’

"So, I really wanted to make sure everything was gentle and truly safe for babies."
