Celeste Cortesi revealed that she has grown fond of jewelry in recent years.
From rings and necklaces to bracelets and watches, the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 titleholder said she has amassed quite a collection.
Several of these expensive pieces were gifts from her current boyfriend, British national and philanthropist Jonathan Michael Sterling, to mark special moments in their relationship.
Celeste was recently launched as the ambassador of Tessera Jewelry, which specializes in certified natural diamonds and colored gemstones.
The Filipino-Italian model and beauty queen graced the opening of the jewelry brand's fifth branch in Molito Center, Alabang, Muntinlupa, last March 6, 2026.
Her ever-supportive boyfriend also attended the event.
“Actually, in the past few years, we've been buying quite a lot to be honest," pertaining to her and her boyfriend.
"That’s why I'm very excited for this collaboration as well, because I've known the brand since before. I've been a fan of it,” she told some members of the press.
And it made her even giddier that the jewelry line’s new collection comes in blue—her favorite color.
“It is just an honor to be able to represent the brand and be the face of it,” beamed Celeste.
Her boyfriend Jonathan is involved in scholarship programs in prominent universities in the Philippines and also gives huge financial donations for medical assistance to those in need.
Jonathan currently lives in the Philippines.
CELESTE’S LOVE FOR DIAMONDS, JEWELRIES
Apart from the aesthetic value, Celeste also has a practical reason for investing in jewelry.
She explained: “I buy things that I like very much. They look good. But also, I always think that it's also a good investment. It's a piece that lasts forever, somehow.”
Asked about the type of jewelry she and her boyfriend have bought, Celeste said: “We’ve bought a lot of diamond pieces in the past few months. To be honest, many of the gifts also come from my boyfriend.
“But we do really love to buy what looks good as well.”
It would seem that Celeste and Jonathan both like jewelry and watches.
“The last one we got is this ring, it’s a gift from, well, for our anniversary, actually,” she beamed then looked at her boyfriend who was at the opposite table.
“We also have matching necklaces as well.
“This watch,” showing off her diamond studded watch, “is also for me.”
She added: “And we do have quite a lot of, honestly, watches. We’re very much into watches.
"I have few very nice pieces of necklaces like diamond necklaces, I super love them. It’s honestly a mix of a lot of things.
“But whatever we think looks good on me, we would be willing to invest on it.
“And it’s a piece that also… that you will also eventually also give to your children in the future. So it's a good investment, as well.”
Asked about her favorite piece, she answers, “To be honest, my favorites are the ones I'm wearing right now. So I'm wearing my favorite watch.
“I'm also wearing this ring that we just got few days ago. And this is a new discovery for me because it's a new piece from Tessera. It's a great diamond.”
Reasons for wearing blings may vary for every woman.
For Celeste, it makes her feel more confident, but she stresses: they need not to be expensive.
“To be honest, I don't think that jewelry necessarily have to be very expensive. You know, you can find very good pieces that don't have to be like millions of pesos.
“As long as you feel confident in it and they look nice, I don't think the more a piece cost, the more it's beautiful. I don't think that.
“So I do really look and go for something that, you know, either a color that I like, or something that makes me feel confident whenever I wear it.”
