"I'm manifesting that maybe I can finally ride it one day," said Iza Calzado upon seeing one of her dream vehicles—the Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class—shining on the big screen in The Devil Wears Prada 2.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on Thursday, April 20, 2026, following the film’s private screening at the VIP Cinema of Rockwell Mall in Makati City, Iza revealed how the movie made an impression on her.
"You know this movie really featured the Maybach S-Class really well. It really highlighted the Maybach S-Class.
"And now I'm dreaming of being able to ride one. Actually, I've sat on the chair in the showroom."
Asked where she would take the luxury car if that dream comes true, Iza said she already has something special in mind.
"When that time comes–it's a when, not an if–I, of course, I'd love to use it for a very special occasion.
"I have something in mind, but I can't share just yet.
"But it would also be nice to go on a date with Ben in the Maybach, pero sana naka-shirt siya cause lagi siyang topless sa social media."
Ben Wintle is Iza's husband.
ART OF ARRIVAL
The Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class’ appearance in the movie revolves around the concept of “The Art of Arrival,” a theme that resonated with Iza.
Asked what 's a perfect arrival to her, she replied: “In real life, I think the art of arrival is just arriving, feeling whole, and, and having confidence. Alam mo yun?”
She expanded on this idea, sharing that true presence matters more than appearances.
“You can put on the most expensive clothes, you can have all these beautiful things, but if you don't feel good about yourself, then I don't think the room will feel your energy, di ba?
“If it's about arriving at an event, you know, going inside a room, the art of arrival is really being you, fully you, and being so present in that moment, and that's when they feel your power.”
At home, however, Iza’s idea of the perfect arrival takes on a more heartwarming meaning.
“For me, the art of arrival at home is just with open arms with my baby, Deia. She's my favorite arrival.”
She added with emotion, “Totoo… pag umuuwi ako galing ng work, yung the art of arrival talaga yung naka-ganoon na ako [arms wide open], ‘Deia!’”
IZA CALZADO: TIPS WHEN BUYING A CAR
Iza, who owns Mercedes-Benz, shared that when she buys a a car, how it feels behind the wheel is a factor.
“Definitely, for me, it's the feel. Number one, the comfort. You know, it's not just about the way it looks. Of course, we all know that every Mercedes-Benz vehicle is beautiful.
“But it, it feels good when you're sitting on the chair, when holding the steering wheel, everything's just made so well.”
Value, service, durability, and sustainability also play a major role in her decision-making process.
“I already touched on comfort. So, value, you know, something that will last you for a long time.
“We talk about also, service. So, siyempre, you want something that is durable and will be well maintained.
“And I think something that aligns with, you know, sustainability. Aligns with what you want for the future, both for the wallet and for the planet.”
