A luxury watch may be worth hundreds of thousands of pesos, but Sharon Cuneta's latest gift to daughter KC Concepcion proves that some possessions have a worth unmeasurable by price tag alone.
On June 8, Sharon posts on Threads her most recent gift to KC: the first expensive watch she ever bought for herself when she was 17—a Cartier Santos in steel and gold.
More than four decades later, the timepiece remains in remarkable condition and now belongs to her eldest daughter.
She writes in her caption: “When KC visited me recently, I gave her a very special gift. Notice the watch she is wearing in the picture. It is the very first expensive watch I bought for myself...”
In the first photo, Sharon stands behind KC and wraps both arms around her as they smile for the camera inside what appears to be a spacious living room.
The Cartier watch is clearly visible on KC's wrist as she is embraced by her mother.
"Now she is wearing my precious watch. I love you, Tina," Sharon concludes.

SHARON WEARING THE Cartier Santos WATCH
The second part of Sharon’s slideshow takes followers back in time.
It is a screenshot from the 1984 film Sa Hirap at Ginhawa—the first movie she and former husband Gabby Concepcion made after they wed.
In the scene (shown below), a young Sharon stands in what appears to be a school hallway lined with lockers while holding a document. The same watch can be seen on her wrist.
Adding even more sentimental value to all this, Sharon talks about how KC was still in her tummy when the movie was filmed.

The post, highlighting something bigger than a luxury item, resonates with many parents.
Moreover, parents often spend years accumulating keepsakes without knowing which objects eventually matter most to their children.
According to listings on Chrono24, a global marketplace for luxury watches, pre-owned Cartier Santos round-dial models in steel and gold currently range from Php205,297 to Php629,899, depending on their condition and specifications.
