In between his TV and film projects, Paulo Avelino would spend his free time cruising the open road on his motorbike.
Paulo recently joined the circle of celebrities who have found pleasure in wandering the roads on two wheels.
At a Century Tuna event held last April 19, in Makati Shangri-La, the 28-year-old actor spoke to PEP.ph (Philippines Entertainment Portal) about his “fascination” with motorbikes.
“It was like my calling,” he said.
“As a kid, I’ve always wanted to own a bike.
“I’ve always had this fascination about bikes.
“I see my dad riding a bike.”
The younger Paulo used to borrow his friends’ motorbikes to satisfy his craving for adrenaline rush.
Eventually, he was able to afford his dream ride.
“There just came a time where I realized, parang, you know, I’ve always wanted a bike.
“So, why not just get one?”
On Instagram, Paulo proudly posted a photo of his BMW Motorrad R nineT.
According BMW’s official site, the motorbike retails at PHP751,806.
“When I first bought my first bike, it was like something else.
“Relaxing siya.”
Paulo often travels with a biker group called Tambike Manila, a crew similar to Jericho Rosales's The Brap Pack.
Both groups consider themselves as brothers.
Other celebrities who are part of Tambike Manila’s “growing family” are Dingdong Dantes, Sam YG, Gab Valenciano, and Kim Atienza (not in photos).
