Expect some sibling rivalry between sisters Dindi Joy and Kimberly Pajares as they both take on the pageant to win the coveted crowns at the Binibing Pilipinas 2017 grand coronation night this Sunday night, April 30.
Dindi, 24, and Kim, 26, made it to the pageant's list of official top 10 candidates.
Both hail from Bataan and are flight attendants from Philippine Airlines.
Kim is Bb. #11 while Dindi is Bb. #24.
The sisters are very much well-known in the pageant scene.
Both of them managed to clinch spots in different pageants' semi-finals in the past.
Kimberly scored a top 20 placement at the Miss World Philippines 2014 pageant.
Meanwhile, Dindi joined the Binibining Pilipinas pageant last year where she made it to the list of the top 15 finalists. Before this, she made it to the top 20 of the Miss Earth Philippines 2011 pageant.
Their backgrounds definitely make them the candidates to look out for in this edition of Binibining Pilipinas.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Kimberly said she doesn't consider herself one of the frontrunners in the competition.
Kimberly said, "Actually, I don't find my self as a frontrunner and I'm so flattered that PEP considered me as one.
"Right now, as much as possible, I don't want to think negative thoughts, and I don't want to expect anything, so there will be no pressure for me in this competition."
As for their sibling rivalry, Kimberly said that there is no competition between her and her sister.
She told PEP, "There's really no competition between us.
"I'm so happy I'm with her in this journey and whatever happens in April 30, we will still be sisters.
"Nothing will change."
Currently, both Dindi and Kimberly are making final preparations for the grand coronation night.
Kimberly said, "Proper diet and exercise and as much as possible, we try to rest and sleep because of our very hectic schedule."
Aside from making sure they're both in tiptop shape, the siblings are also putting more effort into the question and answer portion, which can guarantee them of a higher percentage of points, thereby assuring them of a better chance at bagging the title.
The 26-year-old flight attendant told PEP, "Q&A portion is the most critical part of the pageant and even though sometimes you really know what to say or answer, you're not able to deliver it properly because you are nervous.
"But as long as you're confident about yourself and you are aware of the people around you, everything will go smooth."
If Kimberly wins any of the crowns, she said her campaigns and charity projects would focus on health especially for women.
She told PEP, "Since I am a nurse by profession, health is my priority.
"I want to raise the awareness of people especially women regarding cervical cancer since the incident of it is very high in our country.
"Twelve Filipinas die per day because of it.
"So I want to educate women how to prevent it, its symptoms and how to treat it."
