This Father's Day, Vice Ganda waxed emotional on Instagram for not having kept a photo with his late dad.

As much as Vice Ganda would have wanted to post a photo of him with his late dad as part of his Father's Day greetings, he feels sad because he has none.

In an Instagram post today, June 18, he waxed emotional, "Naiinggit ako.

His late father, who was a barangay captain, was shot dead in 1991.

In his guesting on Magandang Buhay back in 2016, he narrated his father's last moments.

In a previous interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), the comedian recalled that tragic event.

"Ang bigat, sobrang bigat po. Hard struggle for me during my early days, kasi bata pa lang ako.

"Kasi siyempre, di ba, sobrang traumatic, di ba?

He and the Viceral family have longed forgiven their father's killer.

In the same Instagram post, the 41-year-old Kapamilya host emphasized the importance of photos.

He continued, "Kung may celfon lng sana noon na may camera siguradong andami kong selfie kasama sya.

But despite the absence of photos, he proudly said that he can still vividly picture how his dad looked.

"Mamang matangkad. Maitim. Malaki ang katawan. May putol na hinlalaki sa kanang kamay. May bigote. Mejo kulot ang buhok.

"Naka tshirt na nakataas sa tiyan. May ipit na sigarilyo sa tenga. Nakashorts at ang tsinelas ay alpombra. Lasing.

"Mahal ko yan. Tatay ko yan."

At the end of his post, he also reminded his followers to seize every moment with their parents and put gadgets to good use.

"kaw may celfon ka bang may camera?

"Magselfie na kayo ng Tatay mo.

"Damihan mo.

Along with this long message was a photo of gloomy gradient overlay.
