Most netizens probably know Nico Bolzico as the funny, prankster husband of GMA-7 actress Solenn Heussaff.
But did you know his job entails helping the Filipino farmers?
Before he got involved in the showbiz scene, he has been busy working as the head of an agricultural company called Siembra Directa Corporation, more commonly known as "Siembra."
According to its website, Siembra is "the first corn planting, harvesting, and post harvesting center in the Philippines."
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) learned more about the nature of Nico's work when we sat down with him last Friday, September 22, at Berocca's #BigDays event in Eastwood Mall, Quezon City.
The 33-year-old Argentinian entrepreneur said that his company aims to help Filipino farmers by developing planting and harvesting technologies and techniques.
"It's about agriculture, it's what I grew up in Argentina doing and my whole family are farmers. And that's [what] I'm trying to replicate—what we did back home—into the Philippines and try to help many farmers as possible."
A day in Nico's work life includes visits to their corn farm located in Cagayan de Oro.
"I wake up, I normally work out forty-five minutes to an hour. Then, I go to the office and it depends if I have to go to Mindanao or not, I take a plane to the south of the country."
NICO'S DOMESTIC DUTIES
He and Solenn celebrated their wedding anniversary last May 21.
How's their first year of married life so far?
Managing the household comes pretty interesting for Nico.
He quipped, "Challenging! That's the biggest challenge of all!"
On a serious note, Nico said they're pretty much enjoying their time as husband and wife.
He explained, "It's really fun. We love each other so much and we have so much fun.
"We're always keeping it real, and that's why we're gonna last forever."
When asked how they divide their house chores, he admitted, "I do pretty much nothing, and she’s the one who's doing everything when it comes to house management.
"Sad to say, but it's really true."
