Philippine bet Winwyn Marquez is definitely making a good impression at 2017 Reina Hispanoamericana.
The 25-year-old GMA-7 actress/performer has been winning special awards since she arrived in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, on October 21.
Winwyn's bagged the Miss Ipanema special award on Tuesday, October 31, during the second Gala de la Belleza pre-pageant event.
She was also placed as the Miss Personalidad Udabol 1st Runner-Up.
For this pre-pageant event, the candidates' intelligence was put to test as they answered questions by a special jury composed of students and teachers of the UDABOL University, where the event was held.
Miss República Dominicana Lowanny Tavarez eventually won the top award.
Winwyn bagged third place at the Miss Silueta Philips (Swimsuit) competition.
Bolivia's Katherine Añazgo won the award.
Last October 26, Winwyn had a top 3 finish at the Best in National Costume competition with her Pintados-inspired costume designed by Edwin Uy.
She joined Venezuela's Ma. Victoria D'Ambrosio and Panama's Carolina Castillo, who ultimately bagged the award.
Early that day, she was also included in the top 5 finalists for Miss Deporta (Miss Sport).
She was joined by Peru's Lorena Larriviere, Chile's Valentina Schnitzer, Cuba's Gladys Carredeguas, and Curacao's Akisha Albert.
Lastly, Winwyn also place fifth in the Best Smile contest along with USA's Francis Zambrano, República Dominicana's Lowanny Tavarez, Uruguay's Magdalena Cohendet, and Puerto Rico's Kristina Velez, who eventually won the award.
This is the Philippines' first time to join the pageant since its pioneer edition in 1991.
A total of 27 candidates from South America and other countries with Spanish heritage and cultural influence will compete to win the pageant's 17th edition.
The winner will be named at the grand coronation night happening on November 4 (November 5 in the Philippines), 2017.
