“You’ll always be a part of me,” was Janica Nam Floresca’s statement when she got herself inked with three different tattoos following the death of Franco Miguel Hernandez Lumanlan, aka Franco Hernandez.
Nam—as she is fondly called by friends—was the girlfriend of the late 26-year-old Hashtags member, who died in a drowning incident in North Lamidan, Davao Occidental, last November 11.
Franco Miguel Hernandez Lumanlan in real life, he was from the second batch of Hashtags, an all-male group in ABS-CBN's noontime show, It's Showtime.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), the 23-year-old Nam explained the meaning of each of her new tattoo.
Her tattoo on her nape seemed to signify how faith overcomes troubles all the time.
She said, “Kasi yung tat ko sa likod na wave, pina-cover up ko ng ‘God is greater than highs and lows,’ 'tapos mountain.”
Her tattoo below her left collarbone indicated “January 1, 2017”—the day she made her relationship with Franco official.
Pointing at her tattoo, Nam explained, “'Tapos yung dito, ‘forever in my heart,’ 'tapos yung number na naging kami.”
Lastly, she got inked with a silhouette of her and Franco facing each other.
Pointing at the right side of her torso, she added, “'Tapos yung dito yung face namin."
It looks exactly the same as their sixth-monthsary photo, which Nam posted on Instagram last July 1, 2017.
Asked if she got all three in one session, she answered, “Opo. Wala ng sakit.”
PEP.ph had an interview with Nam at the Quezon City home of Franco’s parents last Friday, December 1.
According to Nam, she and Franco met through common friends sometime in October 2016.
On the first day of 2017, they officially became a couple.
Below are some of their sweetest moments together:
THE DAY SHE SAID "YES." Franco took a selfie video saying it was a “dream come true” for him when Nam agreed to become his girlfriend.
LOVE NOTES. Nam was fond of giving hand-written love notes to Franco, which he posted on his bedroom wall.
The 23-year-old model told PEP.ph, "Palagi ko siyang binibigyan ng notes. Nakadikit sa room niya yun. Puro hearts."
"GOOD MORNING, MY LOVE!" Franco, for his part, was also a thoughtful boyfriend, sending Nam random but sweet video messages.
Nam added, “Every day magbi-video ‘yan na, ‘Love, I’m on my way.’ Kapag bago siya matulog magbi-video ‘yan. Kapag hindi kami magkasama, magpi-Facetime kami hanggang kinabukasan.”
Here's a video of Franco greeting Nam one morning before heading to It's Showtime:
4. They have always been affectionate towards each other, even while dancing to their favorite song in the middle of a crowd.
5. Even during the last few hours of Franco’s life, he expressed how much he loves Nam.
Nam posted on Instagram the video that she took of herself and Franco at White Sands Island Beach in Sitio Ilib, North Lamidan, Davao Occidental, where his tragic drowning accident happened.
