Who gets noticed by girls? KC Montero readily answered, "Hindi ako yun," while Troy Montero hesitantly raised, "Ako yun."

As a kid, KC Montero would always hear people gushing over his older brother Troy.

While not particularly bad-looking himself, KC admits that all throughout their growing up years, he had actually gotten so used to people referring to Troy as the most guwapo, compared to him or their youngest brother Colby.

When asked, “Who gets noticed by girls?,” during the Montero brothers' exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last January 22, KC readily raised his “Hindi Ako Yun” placard.

Troy, for his part, hesitantly answered, “Ako yun.”

KC elaborated, "Come on, you know this one...

"My whole life, it’s been, everyone says, ‘Oh my god, your brother.’

"'What about my brother?’

"'Is your brother gonna be home?’

"'Excuse… why?’”

Then he tried to mimick how girls would gush over his kuya.

"'Oh god, Troy Montero, he’s so guwapo!’

"'How about KC?'

"'Oh yeah, you’re pogi.’"

"That’s like handsome and cute. That’s not the same.

"No. Cute is like puppies and kittens.

"Handsome is like for a human.”

Didn’t the comparison ever affect him?

He admitted, "Well, it’s not something new. I’ve heard it all my life…”

The best way to deal with those comments, he said, is “if they came from random people, ignore.”

He underlined, "My girlfriend thinks I’m the hottest brother, that’s all that matters to me."

SIBLING RIVALRY. Growing up, the two guys pursued different paths.

Even when they both entered showbiz, Troy became a Kapamilya, while KC was a Kapuso.

KC elaborated, “I was also doing sitcoms and VJing, while he was the pa-tweetums, the crush.”

His most recent character, however, was kontrabida.

“When Troy started doing his ABS-CBN show, A Love to Last, at that time, I was like, 'Kaya ko iyan, kaya ko iyan.

"And that’s when I called Dingdong Dantes, and I said, ‘Dong, can I be on your show?’”

KC and Dingdong became good friends during their SOP days.

The Fil-Am host of Worst Vacation Ever continued, "And so he talked to the producers and GMA-7.

"'Okay, I will give KC a shot.'

"Cause I saw him on Alyas Robin Hood, and he was having a good time, and I was like 'Alright, alright. I’ll do this again as well.’"

Back to Troy, how was he as a kuya?

"Growing up?” KC asked before adding, “He’s six years older than I am. So when you’re growing up, that’s kind of a big gap.

"He’s always been a bully. A big-time bully, to me and my younger brother Colby."

He resumed, “But then when I was 15, 16, I started to get bigger, and then came the time where I’m actually bigger than him.

"So he can’t bully us and yeah same with my little brother, he can’t bully him either.

"So it was pretty tough. He was a tough brother.

"And then we got older, and we became tougher than him."
