Ashley Ortega was a big winner at the Skate Philippines Summer Championships 2018 last May 29.
The Kapuso star won gold medals in all three categories—Interpretative, Artistic, and Spotlight—plus a special award, Most Artistic.
Before becoming a Kapuso in 2012, Ashley was an ice skater and a member of the national team.
In her interview with 24 Oras's Aubrey Carampel, she said, "I started skating at the age of four, and then I stopped when I was 11.
"I was part of the Philippine team before, I used to compete abroad representing our country.
"And then I stopped because I started doing showbiz."
