Lotlot de Leon has four children with her first husband Ramon Christopher—Janine, Jessica, Diego and Maxine Gutierrez—and she's proud to say none of them ever gave her any major problem.
Janine, who headlines Dragon Lady, is a competent actress; Jessica is in the corporate world; Diego is a basketball player; and the youngest, Maxine, is still in school.
Lotlot and Ramon separated when the children were still small, but both of them commendably set aside their differences to give their children a hundred-percent attention.
She was commenting about about the rampant drug problem in the country today, which destroys many young lives and often their families, too.
The conversation veered towards drugs and children because of her Magpakailanman episode, where she plays Mawi, a hapless mother who moved heaven and earth to save her daughter Erika from the clutches of a drug syndicate.
PROUD MOMMA
Lotlot was beaming when she related her only son Diego is the newest shooting guard of Quezon City Rising Stars, one of the teams in the National Basketball League.
Diego has done guest appearances in the Kapuso shows Celebrity Bluff, Eat Bulaga!, and Sarap Diva, but becoming a basketball player has been his dream and his priority now.
Award-winning director Adolf Alix Jr. helms the episode, which was researched and written by Karen P. Lustica.
