"Iyong importante is for them to be resilient, which means sometimes in play, you need to allow them to play, be with others," sabi niya.

"So number one, sa mga times na nadudulas siya, nadadapa iyan, you allow them to have those experiences.

"Huwag iyong sisisihin mo, magagalit ka. You just observe what they do."

It's best to tell your child, "Come on, you can rise, wash up, and go."

Ayon kay Dr. Regalado, "So that they know that there is something they can do. Kung gusto mong mas maging particular ka, [ask] 'How did you fall ba?'

"You ask them so that the child will know the process.

"So in the future, hindi mangyayari. So ready siya, alam niya how to prevent.

"Huwag iyong, 'Kasi ganito ka, e.' Huwag on the brain side."

Bakit?

Dahil dito, your child will learn how to handle his/her own issues with others.

Ani Dr. Regalado, "The other thing, when playing with playmates, classmates o kapatid niya, you allow them to resolve their issues.

"Siyempre nag-aaway iyon, so you allow them. Makinig ka lang if they're doing it right."

Dagdag niya, "You only intervene kung talagang kailangan ka nang pumasok," tulad sa mga pagkakataong sila'y maaring magkasakitan physically.

PRACTICE TEAM PARENTING

Ani Dr. Regalado, "They suffer from lower self-esteem kung one side lang of the family is there and there is no one to complete."

So how do you practice team parenting?

Una, implement a "nurturing and challenging environment" for your kids.

Dito, moms do the tasks that nuture their kids, gaya ng pagbibigay sa kanila ng basic needs, pagmamahal, pang-unawa, at emotional support.

Para naman sa daddies, it is their duty to "challenge" the kids by setting rules, and disciplining them when they misbehave.

It also helps to spend time with your child sa kanyang first 1,000 days, na nagsisimula sa conception hanggang sa second birthday niya, dahil dito nade-develop ang optimum health ng isang bata.
