Celebrity mom Andi Manzano has found a way to explain COVID-19 to daughter Olivia—and why it's important to wash the hands.
Using common household items, Andi illustrates the virus by putting on a plate a paste of pepper mixed with a bit of water.
She asks Olivia to dip her finger in the mix to show how dirty the finger has become, and then to dip her finger into a bowl with soap.
Afterwards, Andi asks Olivia to dip her finger again in the pepper paste and watch the effect.
Watch the video yourselves and see what happens:
Andi captions this: "A simple way of teaching your kids about the virus and the importance of washing your hands.
"Sharing with you our little experiment today at home! You should try it with your kids!"
Handwashing is the most recommended way of protection against the novel coronavirus or COVID-19.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends washing our hands frequently with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand rub.
We must also wash hands for at least 20 seconds, which is equal to singing two rounds of the "Happy Birthday" song.
