It's a baby girl for GMA-7 actress Sheena Halili and husband Atty. Jeron Manzanero.
The couple announced the gender of their baby on July 17, 2020.
Early this month, Sheena and Jeron held two gender-reveal parties for their families.
They made sure all their loved ones—whether virtually or physically—could celebrate with them.
Sheena's husband, a Pasig City administrator, has been documenting the milestones of his wife's pregnancy through the hashtag "How You Met Your Parents," a play on the American series How I Met Your Mother.
"In this episode of How You Met Your Parents, let me tell you about the time we found out you're a girl," Jeron began in his caption.
"Normally, in this patriarchal society that you're born in, families would want their first born to be a boy.
"Why? Perhaps to continue their family name, protect his future younger siblings, etc.
"But let me tell you a secret—your dad always wanted a girl."
Jeron said his future daughter will grow up "malambing, kikay, sweet, and loving."
He added, "Those are the traits that I love about your mommy, which I'm sure you’ll have din when you grow up!"
On top of that, Jeron looked up to the late NBA basketball legend Kobe Bryant, a dad to four daughters.
He continued, "I'll tell you about him some other time. For now, yup, I'm so so so excited to finally be a #GirlDad!!!"
Sheena is five months pregnant. She and Jeron announced the pregnancy on June 13, 2020.
