Coleen Garcia's cover feature on Preview.ph is now a trending topic on social media.
The 27-year-old actress used Instagram last Saturday, September 5, to give her thanks to the production team behind the photoshoot.
Coleen's cover shoot at her home was done by celebrity photographer BJ Pascual.
Viva talent Coleen wrote, "This cover will always be close to my heart. I felt nothing but love from the whole team, and for that I am so grateful. This was put together by my friends.
"I love you guys so much, and I’ll always cherish this! You are all incredible and so so talented! [heart emoji] (Fun fact: This was actually shot in our home! Spot our cats lol)."
Her glam team was composed of her BFFS—stylist Adrianne Concepcion, hairstylist Renz Pangilinan, makeup artist Robbie Pinera, and AJ Alberto who designed the bespoke pieces she wore for the shoot.
But also making the project special to Coleen was that it allowed her free rein to write her thoughts about her pregnancy.
She wrote, "Another thing that makes this so personal is that @previewph gave me the opportunity to completely express myself in my own words."
Coleen and husband Billy Crawford are expecing their baby boy soon.
HER ray of hope
In her article, Coleen opened up about giving birth at home and how Billy supported her throughout her pregnancy journey.
Coleen also talked about what she will tell her son about the year of his birth.
Part of her article reads: "When our son is older, I will tell him that 2020 was the one year when so much, yet so little, happened. Haha!
"It has definitely been the most unpredictable year we have all had to face together.
"It’s the year that taught us that we are, in fact, not truly in control.
"None of us can actually predict what could happen to us, and tomorrow isn’t promised.
"It’s the year that taught us not to take even the smallest stuff for granted, and to be grateful for the things we often overlook."
Coleen added a reminder, "Many of us were moving so fast, spreading out so far, doing so so much to find the happiness and fulfillment that has been within arm’s reach this whole time.
"We all had our routines, safety nets, plans and expectations, and when all that changed, we were so lost!
"But as we rose above it, it was also an opportunity for us to rediscover ourselves.
"It was a wakeup call in many ways, and it revealed to us the things that had to change—around us and inside us."
Coleen says she will also will tell her son that he brings them hope amid the pandemic.
"I’m gonna tell him that he was that ray of hope that kept us going, and he’s the reason why we never had a bad day in what many consider to be a bad year."
