Mark Herras could not be happier. He knows now that his family name will live on through his soon-to-be born son with fiancée Nicole Donesa.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) via Instagram's direct message on Monday night, September 21, Mark said he has always wanted to have a son.
"I think usually naman, yung mga parents, gusto talaga boy for their first baby.
"And last Herras na ako haha so para may magtuloy ng family name ko haha sakto yung lahi ko."
Nicole, now five months pregnant, is expected to give birth in January 2021, and Mark is all there giving her full support.
But like any other guy anticipating fatherhood, he gets a little anxious, too.
The 33-year-old Kapuso actor wrote, "Siyempre we want her and Corky to be safe so she just stay at home during this pandemic.
"Slowly nag-iipon na ng gamit para pag manganak siya okay na."
Corky is the nickname Mark and Nicole have given their baby.
He added, "Sana pag nag-deliver na si Nicole e safe sila ni Baby Corky na wala ng COVID virus."
Mark also said he was grateful for the guidance of Nicole's mom, Weng Donesa, throughout their pregnancy journey.
He shared, "Marami po, lagi siya nandiyan for us since day one.
"She's telling us the things that we need to learn when it comes to parenting and, siyempre, budgeting.
"Kailangan mahaba ang patience at priority na ang baby."
Mark and Nicole shared the news of her pregnancy on September 14 in their social media accounts.
Their announcement came three months after confirming they've gotten engaged.
Mark also has a seven-year-old daughter named Ada.
