Sunshine Cruz has already accepted the fact that her daughters Angelina, 19, Sam, 15, and Chesca, 14, are now at the age of having a crush or getting interested in someone.
Having one of the most documented love life in local showbiz, Sunshine Cruz has been advising her three daughters about courtship and relationships every now and then.
And having seen her mom go through heartbreaks, Angelina always listens to her mom.
The 19-year-old showbiz newbie told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press on Thursday, February 4, 2021, "The advice that she would give me ever since would be to always know the person before you fully commit yourself to that person."
Angelina, who was launched as Silka's new ambassador together with her mom, gave an example, of Sunshine's counsel, "You should know how they are because you could never know, they could switch up easily.
"So yeah, just to know their true self first and know their true personalities before you commit yourself and of course, to love yourself."
Sunshine averred that her daughters take her advice about boys and relationships to heart.
She said, "Sinusunod nila ako, sinasabi ko din naman talaga sa kanila na hindi porke't niligawan kayo, kailangan crush niyo na rin.
"Or hindi porke't niligawan kayo, sasagutin niyo na. Sabi ko, mag-ingat kayo sa pagpili ninyo, hindi naman minamadali iyan, e."
Sunshine also reminded her daughters to enjoy their youth and take their time when it comes to love.
The ABS-CBN actress said, "Ako nga ilang tao na, 43 years old na, di ba?
"So parang minsan, yun na talaga, yun na yung love of your life pero hindi pa pala.
"So I always remind them and I tell them, ‘You know, it’s better to enjoy yourself.
"Ambabata niyo pa, enjoy with friends and kapag dumating iyan, kilalanin niyo muna and huwag kayo magmadali.’"
