How motherhood has changed Katy Perry's life

She wishes to travel to Asia once the pandemic is over.

International pop superstar Katy Perry is excited to perform for her fans in Southeast Asia as part of the Lazada Super Party digital concert.

The "California Girls" singer, along with K-Pop boyband NCT Dream, will be headlining the shopping app's 9th-anniversary digital concert on Friday, March 26, 2021.

In a video interview released ahead of the anniversary event, Katy expressed how much she misses performing for her Filipino fans and other supporters in the Southeast Asian region.

She said, "Thank you so much for loving me and supporting me all this time. I'm excited to come back and see you, hug you, and sing for you. And hopefully, just spread a little bit of light and love and joy and hear you sing with me."

The 36-year-old pop superstar went on to answer some questions for the KatyCats, the moniker of her fans.

During the interview, Katy said motherhood definitely changed her life amid the pandemic. It can be recalled that Katy gave birth to her daughter with Orlando Bloom in August 2020. They named their daughter Daisy Dove.

She said, "Actually, I dropped a lot of things off. I have learned to slow down. I learned balance.

"My life has changed so much because I had a baby girl, who has changed my life and given me all the love that I was looking for.

"So I feel very fulfilled, very at peace and whole, actually. So that's been a big change in my life."

Katy was also asked what's the first thing she will do after the pandemic is over.

The singer also said she;s been dreaming of a vacation in the region, "Definitely somewhere in Asia. It's one of my favorite places in the world.

"I love traveling. I love the ocean. Definitely, somewhere in Asia, of course."

KATY PERRY'S LOVE FOR MUSIC

Katy talked about her music as well and shared what inspired her to become a singer.

She said, "I was just excited to share my perspective with the world and I love singing.

"My mom called me Bird. When I was very little, she said I would sing myself to sleep.

"I love the way it made me feel. I love the way I could process all of my emotions through writing a song. I just like sharing my perspective."

As for her current favorite song, Katy said, "Right now, it's just a little song that my fiancé Orlando and I made up for our daughter.

"It's really cute and we sing it every day to her and it makes her laugh. That and like classical music and a little bit of jazz on Sundays."

Other than becoming a singer, Katy said she'd probably pursue a career in fashion or therapy.

She explained, "I love clothes and I like designing up clothes and I like dreaming up costumes.

"Maybe I would have been like a therapist or something because I also love to problem solve and go deep in conversations."
