Divine Lee is determined to push forward with her goal of having four kids by the age of 40.
Divine, who is now 39, acknowledges that her plan to get pregnant "every year" got delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Apart from the immense uncertainty that current circumstances bring, Divine and husband Blake Go were also infected by the virus in 2020.
They placed their focus on recovery and safety first before moving forward with their family plans.
Divine says in her YouTube vlog posted March 21, 2021: "After a long, long, long talk, we really decided na.
"Ngayon naglalakad na si Blanca. You know, when I was pregnant with Blanca, si Baz hindi pa masyado naglalakad, di ba?
"So, parang, we felt like, 'Okay, puwede na talaga dagdagan.'"
Divine had their son Baz when she was 36, and daughter Blanca when she was 37.
Both kids were conceived via in vitro fertilization or IVF, a procedure wherein the mother's "mature egg" and father's sperm are fertilized in a laboratory dish then implanted in the uterus of the biological mother or a surrogate.
She had her eggs frozen at a young age, so she is not having a hard time conceiving kids even now that she is in her late 30s.
But since circumstances have changed, Divine and Blake are proceeding with their third round of IVF with extra precaution.
Divine lee begins third IVF journey
The host detailed her preparations.
First, she had to prepare her uterus.
"I text my doctor na I'm ready for another round. Ang una niya sasabihin sa inyo is 'Text me when you get your period. On the second day of your period, you start medication.' ...That is to help boost, repair the uterus for the transfer."
On the ninth or tenth day, Divine had two ultrasound sessions before flying to Manila to have the procedure done.
Her follow-up check-up would be two weeks after the procedure, but Divine was both anxious and excited to know if it was a successful transfer.
Three days after her IVF, Divine took a pregnancy test for her "peace of mind."
Sadly, the results came out as "not pregnant."
