Sudden work schedule that runs in conflict with an important family event is the bane of working parents.

Over the weekend, celebrity dad Dingdong Dantes found himself in such a fix when he had to be somewhere and couldn't attend the swim meet of his unica hija, Maria Letizia "Zia" Dantes,

To make amends, Dingdong did the next best thing, given his situation.

On August 19, 2023, the Royal Blood lead actor penned on Instagram a deeply felt long note to Zia.

Along with a series of photos, he wrote, "My Dearest Letizia, these photos were taken during your practice last week — one of the final sessions before today's 13th Speedo Jumpstart Novice Carnival.

"With only about 4 hours of sleep (since the Royal Blood taping ended quite late the night before), I was a bit shaky while attempting to capture this dive of yours.

"Thank God it came out very clear — for our remembrance."

While his work trip to Davao meant missing a significant part of the competition, Dingdong assured Zia he would alway be proud of her.

He continued, "As I embark on my trip to Davao for work, where I'll have the opportunity to express gratitude to our Davaoenos for their unwavering support of our show, Royal Blood, I'll unfortunately miss a significant portion of this crucial competition.

"Please understand that regardless of the outcome, I am already incredibly proud of the dedication, passion, and enthusiasm you bring to this sport."

"Just as she has been for me, she undoubtedly serves as your lucky charm as well. [wink emoji]"

Finally, his letter ended with a symbolic comparison of swimming to real life.

"In the pool, as in life, every stroke you take not only propels you forward but also reflects your commitment and resilience," he educated.

"Embrace the water's hold, for within its depths, you discover your true strength. Keep pushing, keep swimming, and let the currents of determination guide you to greatness.
