Time flies for sure, as Sofia Andres and Daniel Miranda's daughter Zoe is about to turn another year older.
On November 24, 2023, Zoe will be celebrating her fourth birthday.
Much like many other mothers, Sofia is also experiencing the bittersweet realization that her child is growing up rapidly.
That's why Sofia is making a conscious effort to spend quality time with Zoe and be there to witness her growth.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Sofia disclosed her personal commitment to returning home promptly after completing her work.
"Now, I'll only spend 15 minutes [here at the event]," she said during the grand opening of Gentle Monster's flagship store at Shangri-la at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
She continued, "May rule ako sa sarili ko. I have to go home na, and get back to her.
"I'm just gonna say hi to my friends. The people that I know and then I go home na. That's it.
"I really wanna cherish the moment. Because she's turning 4 this November. Ang bilis!"
Sofia wants to spend more time with Zoe because her daughter is now at the stage where she's beginning to explore her interests and express her personality.
The celebrity mom reveals that animals have become a big fascination for her daughter lately.
"She's into animals now. Baliw na baliw siya sa chicks. I don't know why."
Sofia also observed that Zoe has interests in singing, dancing, and many other things.
"She's such a character. I mean, kilala mo na siya habang bata pa.
"She's a dancer. And then, she's into gymnastics, also swimming. She does a lot. She dances, she sings.
"A lot, really. Di siya mahiyain which... I love that part of her."
SOFIA ANDRES ON ZOE'S PASAWAY MOMENTS
Sofia openly admits that her daughter can be a bit "pasaway" at times.
She observed that Zoe occasionally has mini-tantrums when she's determined to get something.
Sofia noted that she doesn't tolerate this behavior.
She said, "She does [throw tantrums]. She's sassy, kasi. She's super sassy.
"Para siyang 'what you see is what you get.' And gusto niya, nakukuha niya agad. That's her.
"Pero I don't allow that kasi di ba pag mom, medyo strict dapat konti. You don't give everything.
"Kasi pag lumaki, baka mahirapan na ako. So I'm trying to watch kahit may yaya, di ba? Hands on pa rin kasi it's different pag sa iyo lumaki."
However, Sofia refrains from using physical punishment or harsh words when disciplining her daughter.
Instead, she employs the silent treatment, allowing her daughter to reflect on her actions until she realizes her mistakes.
"I just won't talk to her. Parang silent treatment. Parang maramdaman niya, 'Oh, there's something wrong.' And she will realize.
"I want her to realize. I won't address it to her. I'm not the type of a mom na parang, 'Zoe! What did you do? What happened?'
"I want her to just realize. Kasi ganoon na kami pinalaki ng mom ko."
