If there is one role Diego Loyzaga is prioritizing now, it's that of a father.
In an episode of Toni Talks on YouTube on November 19, 2023, the Viva star gets deep talking to host Toni Gonzaga about being a hands-on dad.
He says, "I’m trying to be the most supportive dad I can be for the mom and my baby," further reflecting on the supreme importance of being there during the formative years of a child.
"That’s [when] they really build their character," he states.

BEING PRESENT
Diego speaks from his experience as a son raised solely by his mom, the actress Teresa Loyzaga.
He met his dad, the veteran actor Cesar Montano, when he was already 13 years old.
One thing he can promise is to spare his daughter the identity crisis he faced as a child.
Revealing in the interview how that phase had affected him, Diego recalls, "I was a different person. Kaya lagi kami nagko-collide noon.
"It took me to reach 28, to finally understand my dad as a human, as a parent.
"There's sometimes like a question mark, how I should do things, my character, what I really want. I guess you pick that up from the dad."
Now that he's a dad himself, he resolves, "Di ko paparamdam sa anak ko yung naramdaman ko."

He admits taking "a very long time" to finding himself, spending years on self-improvement activities.
He's been on the mend, and on June 8, 2023, Diego posted on Instagram his journey to fatherhood, calling his baby, Hailey, "the best birthday gift ever."
Since then, netizens have been speculating about the identity of the unnamed mother.
